Come and take a look inside our new HQ in Bristol with Ester. 👀

For the last few months we’ve been channeling the WFH vibes - bringing together our city’s best makers, designers and artists to help us create something really special that our team can call home.

When we first found this warehouse we knew it could be transformed into a truly special space, that could welcome all our clients - while championing the incredible creativity Bristol is renowned for.

Massive thanks to everyone who helped turn our vision into our dream home:

A look inside our entrance hallway, complete with a bench to pull on shoes, floor-to-ceiling Husk cupboards holding coats for every kind of weather, and a gorgeous microcement floor, all flooded with light from the large windows.

I have been dreaming of this kitchen since the day we got the keys to this 1800s farmhouse in December 2020.

Finally (FINALLY) it has come to fruition, through amazing builders who listened to and worked through every one of my questions/demands (not least keeping the original stone back wall and having to deal with the resulting skewiff room dimensions) and a husband who trusted my vision, helping to template the original alcoves in our living room for the island arches and helping to source church pews, lab worktops, Venetian plaster.. the list goes on.

We’re so happy with the end result. A room where the Barbie motorhome can do laps until its heart’s content and then ‘park on the ferry’ (👀) while the rest of us work, cook, socialise, study and play.

I’ve had the joy of interior designing two houses top-to-toe for other people over the past couple of years and have a couple of interiors projects lined up, so maybe I should update my bio to ‘interior designer’?! It’s a dream of a career pivot!

We’re turning this empty warehouse in Bristol, into our new HQ.😬

We’ve been busy bringing together the city’s best makers and artists to create a place that feels like we’re working from home.

It’s been a dream to work with such talented people and see the space that was once a dusty warehouse, turn into something we can call home.

Follow us for the reveal in the next episode

For the kitchen at The Piggery, we wanted to create a space that felt warm, understated and lived-in, while working hard for both everyday family life and larger gatherings.

We used honey-toned timber cabinetry, dark worktops and lime-washed timber floorboards to create a simple, pared-back material palette. Open shelving keeps the space informal, with ceramics, glassware and everyday objects adding texture and familiarity.

The result is a kitchen that feels naturally at home within the original agricultural building — practical, welcoming and made to be used.

A moodboard for a kitchen we've been developing as part of a consultation for a client.

The scheme centres around our Husk x Ro Projects kitchen in Tramuntana, a muted green finish paired with Eskett Light stone worktops, a beautiful stone from Cumbria sourced from Britannicus Stone. Warm metal finishes and terracotta accents complete the palette, adding depth and contrast.

With the material direction now established, we'll be turning our attention to the layout and functionality of the space, making sure it works just as beautifully as it looks. It's always rewarding to see these early ideas evolve into a considered design that's ready to be brought to life.

This is all part of our Blueprint consultation — one of our three consultation services — where we develop a clear design direction for a single room, combining creative ideas with practical guidance to help bring the space to life. You can find out more on our website if you're interested, or get in touch via DM.

A very overdue Scottish Long House update 🏡✨

It’s been a while since I posted, but the kitchen is finally coming together! We’ve gone for a mix of Husk and Howdens, with V-groove oak and that gorgeous Himalayan Salt Pink — I absolutely love how the colours and textures are working together. 💕🤎

Still waiting on the worktop and appliances, but so far it’s looking amazing!

… And this what was waiting for us behind all the ivy and through the jungle at Mermaid Cottage 🐚🌿 With a glance behind the pink door once I’d unpacked my books, paintings and plants.

A little tour starting with the ground floor and kitchen. Spy my favourite oil paintings by old friend @emmasophiewilson , the little beam in the kitchen, the gingerbread tiles and the cottage mascot.

Magic moment wearing red Wanda dress on the balcony, from Radish, the label I created ✨ You can read more about the cottage and Radish on my website ~ link in bio.

Well the simple answer is using custom kitchen fronts instead of IKEAs own doors. The long answer, including a deep dive into the creators of these 11 kitchens is ready to read on my Substack. Which is your favourite?
