Master your craft, starting with the tool.
The Cardinal is a chef’s knife made by women for women—built like a forever piece, finished with the details your hands have been asking for.

I tested 50 chef’s knives and kept seeing the same pattern: hard to maintain, sharp where your guiding hand lives, no real edge protection, and “ergonomic” handles that never truly considered women’s hands. That is what happens when a category is built on one size fits all instead of asking whether the knife actually fits you. We started with women’s needs and built a chef’s knife that helps every cook feel more capable, more precise, and more at home in the kitchen. Follow us for more chef knife facts, because when you pick the right tool, cooking gets better.

Sharp where it counts, softer where your hand lives.
The heel is intentionally dulled, so the spot your hand brushes most often feels smoother and less intimidating—more confidence every time you pick it up.

We do not sell tennis racquets, but we love how easy it is to tell if one fits: there is a simple index‑finger test. Chef knives should be just as straightforward. You see ‘sharp’ and ‘ergonomic’ on every box, but no one shows you how to know if that actually means anything for your hand. This is our version of the racquet test: a 10‑second pinch test that tells you, in your own body, whether a knife truly fits.

Our new knife shampoo is formulated to maintain your blade, clean it - but really clean it. It removes strong odors from seafood to garlic because you don’t need more reasons to not try a new recipe. Restores and replenishes the look of the blade. Could you possibly say no to any of that?

Comfort, confidence, and a kitchen that actually feels like home—that’s the vision behind every Sole product. We’re starting with the chef knife, but we’re designing a whole ecosystem of tools that are easy to care for, safe to store, and special enough to gift. From the moment you open the box to years of weeknight dinners, your knives are built to be cherished—and we take care of the maintenance so you don’t have to.

We thought about how to make a knife that actually improves the whole experience—from storage and dishwasher safety to comfort in the handle, color customization, and even the blade safety cover. From prep to clean‑up, we designed every detail so you don’t have to adjust to your tool.

Chef knife marketing is outdated—we all know we’re getting a sharp blade. But what about everything else: comfort, storage, care, who it’s actually designed for? If we were marketing this for men, we’d stop here at ‘precision’ and ‘performance.’ Instead, we’re asking how it feels in your hand at 6 p.m. on a Tuesday.
