Not gonna lie — inflammation’s been kicking my ass lately. 😮‍💨
But you know I wasn’t about to let that stop me from a weekend of music, friends & memories. 🎶✨

Compression socks? ✅
Ibuprofen? ✅
Strategic dance breaks? ✅

Because here’s the truth — life’s too short to sit everything out. And getting to celebrate @the_jvc_effect ’s birthday with my festival fam was everything I needed. These people? They light me up, keep me grounded, and remind me who the hell I am when life gets messy.

2025 hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing so far. I’ve been feeling a bit off and I’m definitely craving some clarity and a reset. But weekends like this one remind me — I’m still here, still standing (and dancing), and still figuring it out.

This past weekend, @madelynyork and I celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary in what was one of the most incredible weekend getaways we’ve ever had.

During this trip, I had a dream that I shared with her…

I transcended this reality and saw that I was one of an infinite number of versions of myself across an infinite number of universes. In this universe, she was a goddess who was sent down as a human and gifted to me with a purpose to fulfill - to ensure we had the fullest, most loving and amazing human life possible.

I shared with her that, before her, I was just coasting through life- aimless, trying to do good, and figuring things out as needed, just to get by.

I shared with her that, since meeting her, our life has been the fullest, most exciting, most loving life I’ve ever lived. Our relationship has been a real partnership where we are growing together, supporting each other, and working towards the same goals together.

She’s my best friend.
She’s my soul mate.
She’s my number 1 priority.

And I worship her.

Now, I know what you’re probably going to ask. And let’s be real…
Do I ACTUALLY believe that she’s some kind of celestial goddess who was sent down by the heavens to this mortal realm as a gift to me to help me grow and work towards a life full of love, happiness, and purpose?

Well, yes.
I do.

I love you, Madelyn York Kim.
We are the luckiest.
And I won’t do life without you.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours 🎅🏻🎄♥️

It has been 9 years since I’ve spent Christmas with my actual family. I moved to the US from Belgium in 2016 and since then I have spent my holidays with my chosen family. This is my chosen family, the people who filled my home with love, laughter, and holiday cheer just a few days ago. Brought together by fitness, music, health and through common friends ♥️

This year marks a first for me—my first Christmas Eve spent completely by myself. It’s a moment I never imagined would feel so… peaceful.

There were so many holidays over the past nine years where I felt completely lost—lonely, depressed, and like I didn’t quite belong. The kind of loneliness that doesn’t just linger in the background but takes center stage. Even when I was surrounded by people, it felt like there was a weight on my chest that just wouldn’t lift. Every Christmas was a reminder of what I felt I was missing—a partner, a family, or a sense of belonging.

But this year feels different. Don’t get me wrong, it was a very intense year and a lot has happened. And yes, I’ve spent Christmas Eve alone, but there’s no heaviness in my heart. No sense of sadness or inadequacy. Last night, I took myself out to dinner, treated myself, and embraced the peace of my own company. And for the first time, I’m okay—content, even. The loneliness is there, sure, but it’s not overwhelming. It feels manageable. It feels human.

This Christmas, I’m reminded that the holidays don’t need to look a certain way to be meaningful. Family doesn’t have to look like what you grew up with. It can be the people you invite into your life, the moments you create, and even the relationship you build with yourself. Whether you’re surrounded by loved ones, or spending the evening in the quiet company of yourself, you are enough. You are whole. And you are deserving of peace and joy.

To anyone out there who feels a little lonely this holiday season, I see you. I’ve been there, and I want you to know—it gets better. One step, one choice, one dinner-for-one at a time.
