THE MARIA EDIT: THE LOCAL SPOT

A few weekends ago, I wandered into @the.local_spot in Belmont—and came out with a very full tote.

The shop is made up of small, thoughtful displays from makers right here in San Mateo, Belmont, and nearby: pottery, candles, honey, jewelry, watercolor kits, and the kind of small finds that make a gift feel personal. I especially loved reading the little notes about each maker as I browsed.

And because @madeoutofdough is right inside, I left with a warm cinnamon roll, too—one of the last of the day. They sell out, so consider this a gentle nudge to get there early.

Curated with love. Shared because it’s worth knowing.

I am heading to France for a few weeks to take care of family and do my daughterly duties. ❤️🇫🇷

Before leaving, I made sure my Chocolate Corners are filled and my products fully stocked, so there is still plenty of 1.2.3 Chocolat to enjoy while I am away! 🍫

I will be back in full gear for the holiday season, so wait for me… 🎄✨

And while family comes first, I will still be keeping my chocolatier eyes wide open looking for new tricks, new ideas and plenty of inspiration in this amazing city I love so much: Paris. 🇫🇷🍫

À bientôt!
