Before she held the tricolor beneath the bright lights of Yekaterinburg, Kavya Agrawal held a pen.

For her, words were never just lines on paper—they were tools to observe the world, dissect its complexities, and piece together stories that needed telling. That curious intellect earned her a Gold Medal in Political Science from DAVV Indore, leading her to the historic halls of Nalanda University to pursue her Master’s. Alongside academic rigor, she cultivated her art, weaving evocative verses as a published poetess, professional content writer, and co-author across multiple anthologies.

Then came the arena where ideas met diplomacy.
Standing on the world stage at the World Youth Festival (WYF) 2026 in Russia, Kavya didn’t merely represent numbers or demographics—she carried the unfiltered ambition, intellect, and grace of Indian youth. From classroom debates and late-night verses to the global spotlight, she proves that modern leadership isn’t defined by a single lane. It is found at the intersection of a sharp mind, an empathetic voice, and the courage to step forward.

In this edition of of People of Chaupal: Evolving Voices, we celebrate @the_secret_passion (Kavya Agrawal)-a scholar, storyteller, and an Ambassador of Change and Hope.

From Ekaterinburg to New Delhi, the conversations continued. 🇷🇺🇮🇳

On returning from the International Festival of Youth 2026 in Ekaterinburg, I had the opportunity to meet H.E. Denis Alipov, Ambassador of Russia to India, at the Embassy of Russia in New Delhi, alongside fellow Indian delegates who were part of the first-ever delegation of children at the World Youth Festival.

I shared my experience at the festival and the interactions, ideas, and perspectives I brought back from Ekaterinburg. It was an honour to receive the warm wishes of the Russian diplomats and to continue the dialogue beyond the festival itself.

The session was moderated by Mr. Madhish Parikh, Chairman of the BRICS Youth Alliance. Representatives of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in India also joined the event and the discussions that followed.

I also had a wonderful conversation with Ms. Anastasia from Russian House New Delhi, whose work around Russia-India bilateral ties, youth opportunities, and cross-cultural engagement made our discussion especially interesting. It was genuinely exciting to exchange perspectives on how young people can become part of stronger connections between the two countries.

Some journeys end with a flight home. Some continue through conversations. 🌍
