"objects in mirrors are closer than they appear"

reflections & mirrors, my favorite recurring obsession as object and psychological tool in photography, over the years.

WIDES, 2026

Shining a spotlight on the less-loved 16:9 aspect ratio trying to scrape by in this increasingly vertical world.

Sometimes, the place where you find your strength starts as the place where you simply feel safe.

For @madison.nero , growing up in an abusive household meant finding moments of confidence wherever she could—including sitting at her vanity and looking in the mirror.

What started as a safe space eventually became something bigger: a place where she could dream.

After being placed in the custody of her aunt and uncle, Madison entered her first pageant—and for the first time, she began to believe that her future could be different.

Her story is a powerful reminder that your circumstances don’t have to define your future.

The adversity you overcome can become part of the story that helps someone else believe they can overcome, too.

🎧 Hear Madison’s full story and how she turned adversity into purpose in Episode 41 of Act to Impact.

Does this count for eyemaxxing??🤪 I love those warm, golden hues on baby blues 💙💙

Ps- an eyeshadow palette from @theladycodeshop never misses😻 I love that after my eyeshadow palette collab request when I was @missearthusa the tradition has carried on and even expanded 💞💞 The marketing challenge for the 2025 palette that also awarded a NYFW Times Square billboard was SO AMAZING🥹🥹 I couldn’t be more proud of @madison.nero for the work and heart she put into her palette, she was so insanely deserving of this 💞
