Happy 200th Birthday, Madison! 🎉

This past weekend, it was a joy to celebrate two centuries since Madison’s incorporation and its independence from East Guilford in 1826. It’s a milestone that reminds us how deeply rooted this community is in Connecticut’s history and how well Madison has balanced tradition and progress.

And what a fitting time to celebrate on Flag Day weekend, as we also begin to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday. Moments like these connect our local story to the larger American story; one of growth, resilience, and community. 🇺🇸

Here’s to honoring our past and building an even stronger future together. Happy Bicentennial, Madison!

Our 4th annual Madison Souper Bowl is in the books. Found this delightful event when we moved here and were looking for something fun (and food related) to do in the wintertime. What a find! For your $15 ticket, you get to stroll the lovely downtown shopping/dining strip and taste 18 chili’s and chowders (and vote for your winners). This year’s tastings were the most delicious, and the best part is that three of our favorite samples were from Madison restaurants that we have now added to our list of places to visit in the future:
@madisonprimesteakhouse (seafood gumbo with wild rice
@madisonbeachhouse (beef chili with tortilla chips) @donahuesmadisonbeach (New England clam chowder)
Extra special mention to the firehouse chili @madisonhoseco1 (always a favorite of ours and always get some of our votes!)
Glad this crazy impending storm waited a day and we got to enjoy this event again!
