First, thank you to smart AND generous @linziecal for the most incredible and supportive short film writing workshop (TAKE HER CLASS) and to my CLASSMATES (especially @dejadejacomedy for literally snapping this perfect photo). A script has been birthed. Thank you to my brilliant women @keri_uribe and @madlodge for coming to @ucbtny to read aloud for the first time in front of humans.

Second, we read THE KITCHEN TABLE by @thebillyrick last night to fundraise for @friendsoffirefighters and it was something very special. I had a front row seat to the talents of @thebillyrick @gschmallz @wardhorton @thejimmykieffer @justingrace_ @michaelcbenz and Captain Conan McCarty.

These moments are so fleeting and require so much hard work and community to make them happen. It’s always worth it. I love you all.

I’ve been back in LA for 3 days now but the 2 months back home again in Indiana(and also Sweet Home Chicago) was a time I’ll never forget! This movie, Little Five, has so much heart and was made with so much skill and love and sweat…so much freakin sweat!😅 Getting to finally work in my home state with my family around on such a great film was just what I had hoped. Praying it’s not the last time(get some tax credits already!) This cast, particularly the four young women at the heart of the movie are incredible. And the crew is top notch. Can’t wait for yall to see this one… Hoo-Hoo-Hoo-Hoosiers! 🚴🚴🚴🚴🥩

A tale of two love stories ✨😂 PART ONE of the Great Moving Road Trip is complete hahah.

Flew to Seattle (what’s up Canadian mountain range I don’t know the name of—maybe the Rockies??) and met up with my sister and her fiancé who are clearly *in love* and all (#suckinfaceinseattle) but I think I fell equally in love with this GF bacon egg and cheese while waiting for the ferry 🤤

After struggling through the streets of Seattle with a metric f*ck-ton of luggage, we took the ferry and drove to his mom’s house on the Olympic peninsula where my Jeep has been living for the last few months and I got the ol gal ready for her next adventure! Charlie-specific updates in the next post 🚐👌

I also think this is a great opportunity to harness the power of social media to go beyond a single picture (like the BLM black squares).⠀

1. Womxn in Turkey have been posting B&W photos (like the ones shared of victims) to spread awareness of violence against womxn and femicide + protest the gov's withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention, which helps protect womxn. #istanbulconventionsaveslives

2. #challengeaccepted has been around for a while to raise awareness for different causes. Some also think it was a feminist reaction sparked in response to a Congressman calling Rep. Ocasio-Cortez a "fking b*tch." ⠀

Point is: we can direct where it will go. The world needs womxn uplifting womxn.⠀So let's take it a step farther:⠀

A while back I asked @charlottesmuller @breathe_strength if she would teach a yoga class for my 30th birthday. Today, we made it happen—in five states, two coasts, and 21 little zoom boxes filled with some very special peeps. Thank you all so much, it means the 🌎 to me ❤️

✈️What's the most spontaneous trip you've ever taken?⁠ 🌎 ⠀

This time last year, I was exploring Paris with my best friend/sister, discovering all the gluten free goodies the City of Lights had to offer 🥐(shockingly, there are a lot!)⁠⠀
⁠⠀
I had found $300 round trip tickets last year during Black Friday (✈️ !!) and as her Christmas + birthday gift, I said to my sister:⁠⠀
⁠⠀
"Will you block off these dates for international travel and I won't tell you where we're going?" 🙃⁠⠀
⁠⠀
She looked at me skeptically but, since she knows me so well, @madlodge said yes to an adventure 🎉⁠⠀
⁠⠀
I kept it a surprise for a WHOLE MONT (which was SO painful for me, MY GOD) but at the last minute, my sister overheard my mom talking to my stepdad about it hahah #oops⁠⠀
⁠⠀
But she was able to contact her friends in advance and schedule a dinner, since she lived in Paris for a year and studied at the Cordon Bleu 👩‍🍳 ⁠Unfortunately, my wallet was stolen after that dinner -- the night before we flew back and 2 weeks before I'd fly to Australia for 4 months 🤦‍♀️ ⠀
⠀
But those wild, adventurous, whirlwind 4 days we also:⠀
⠀
🇫🇷Stupidly took Lime scooters over cobblestones, rattling our brains and the pastries in our bags (it was so fun)⠀
⠀
🇫🇷Explored Christmas markets near the Notre Dame (pre-fire 😢)and Sorbonne (pictured)⠀
⠀
🇫🇷Woke up at the crack of dawn to buy my sister's favorite orange water bread in Paris before our 2 flights back⠀
⠀
🇫🇷Went for morning walks along the Seine to the Notre Dame⠀
⠀
🇫🇷Took in the view of Paris from the hills of Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur⠀
⁠⠀
🇫🇷And ate a mountain of delicious GF Parisian pastries and food⠀
⠀
