Sweetie & Friends turns 2 🎂 We’re throwing a big one this weekend… but I’m gonna get a little sentimental first 🥹 I pitched a front bar DJ set idea to Nate & the Punters crew in 2024 thinking it’d get a run for a few months at best. It was an excuse for me to play records I’d bought that week and invite a friend or another DJ whose taste I admired to join me. Two years later we’re still going 🙃 Turns out the best way to make new friends & family is to ask them to hang out and play records for a few hours. A weekly friend hang disguised as a DJ residency. To Nate and everyone at Punters - thanks for saying yes to a “couple of months” and then never asking me to stop. To everyone that’s joined me at S&F… Thank you for being generous enough to share your collections with me, you’ve made me a better selector. I bloody love you all! Here’s to two years of phenomenal records, relaxed DJing, tequila Negronis, one for one, B7B chaos and the best silliest time with the best silliest people. Hopefully see you on Saturday for a boogie! xoxo Sweetie
