A little over a week ago 23,000 visitors gathered for this year's @chart_artfair in Copenhagen.

Every year I think the participating artists and galleries couldn't possibly raise the bar any higher, and every year they still do. It was a privilege to curate this year's performance programme that unfolded across Charlottenborg, Kongens Nytorv and even the Copenhagen Metro with such sensitivity, generosity and artistic force.

This year's edition also marked my last CHART.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire CHART team and especially to @juliesilbermann for three inspiring and deeply rewarding years. I'll carry them with me.

Now, I'm thrilled to be joining @creatorprojects where I'll be working with exhibitions and curatorial projects. More on that very soon.

CHART Public welcomes Pantomime 🎭 a theatrical installation inside the courtyards at Charlottenborg.

For the second time, CHART Public combines an immersive staging at Charlottenborg with the Public Programme of performances and live music. Earlier in the spring we sent out an open-call for innovative stagings with a distinct wow-factor.

Reimagining the courtyards at Charlottenborg as a total installation, the winning team behind Pantomime has proposed an inspiring scenography that will set the stage for CHART 2026. Like a circus arriving in the city, Pantomime draws on a theatrical tradition turning Charlottenborg’s courtyards into an open, continuous stage where visitors are invited to step into the role of performer.

The team behind Pantomime includes architects Mads Vagn Jacobsen (@mads.vagn) & Frederik Lykkeberg Larsen (@frederiklykkeberg) from Antenna Works (@antenna_works) in collaboration with artist Oliver Sundqvist (@o.sundqvist)

Special thanks to this year’s competition jury, Kim Lenschow (@kimlenschow), Peter Bur Andersen (@peterburandersen), and Katrine Morel (@katrine_morel)

CHART Public is made possible by the generous support of Københavns Kommune (@koebenhavnskommune), Det Obelske Familiefond (@detobelskefamiliefond), Augustinus Fonden (@augustinusfonden), Statens Kunstfond (@statenskunstfond), 15. Juni Fonden and Knud Højgaards Fond who all generously contributed to the production of CHART Public.

CHART Public Winner Announcement! 🎪 After reviewing submissions from designers, architects, scenographers and artists from across the Nordics, the jury invited 3 finalist teams to present their ideas, before selecting 1 winner:

• ‘Pantomime’ by Mads Vagn Jacobsen (@mads.vagn), Frederik Lykkeberg Larsen (@frederiklykkeberg) from @antenna_works & Oliver Sundqvist (@o.sundqvist) 🏵️

Reimagining the courtyards at Charlottenborg as a total installation, the team behind Pantomime has proposed an inspiring scenography that will set the stage for CHART 2026.

Pantomime draws on a theatrical tradition rooted in gesture, exaggeration, and collective spectacle, turning Charlottenborg’s courtyards into an open, continuous stage. Like a circus arriving in the city, the installation temporarily occupies the courtyard, transforming it into a stage for collective experience.

The jury has also selected 2 teams who they would like to give honourable mentions to:

• ‘Sisters’ by Áron Koch (@kh_aron), Robert Olsson (@robbearth), Charles Palmborg (@charliepalmborg) & Maciej Rojek (@maciejrrojek)

• ‘A space of borrowed gravity’ by Victor Hauerslev Munch (@victormunch) & Jacob Billesbølle (@_blurkid_)

CHART Public is made possible by the generous support of @koebenhavnskommune, @detobelskefamiliefond, @augustinusfonden, @statenskunstfond and Knud Højgaards Fond who all generously contributed to the production of CHART Public.

Our warmest thanks go out to this year’s jury:
• Kim Lenschow (@kimlenschow), Founder of Office Kim Lenschow

• Peter Bur Andersen (@peterburandersen), Founder and Creative Director of @briqgroup

• Katrine Morel (@katrine_morel), Head of Architecture & Spatial Design at @surfaceclub_eu, and Project manager for CHART Public
