More Than Dramatic is the title track from the new EP by Madska. The record is a love letter to the growing pains that becoming puts us through. Each song cradles the listener through a tangled emotional landscape. Although touching on heavier topics, the record still pokes fun at the lighter, more awkward parts of healing. The title More Than Dramatic is a facetious play on the contrast between the internal roiling of bottled up emotions, and the relief of letting them loose into the world.

The song More Than Dramatic lyrically channels the angst of a teenage experience while giving the joyous chaotic hullabaloo of a high school pep rally. Punchy, danceable, and dynamic, the song shows their ability to capture that first taste of adolescent freedom and the unwanted responsibility and self awareness that accompanies it.

Madska will be performing at the Evil Genius 15th Anniversary Block Party in Philadelphia on October 3rd, 2026.

If you know me or have been to my house within the last few years, you’ll know I love a collage. Who doesn’t love to make shapes out of trash? For Madska’s new song, I wanted to see how closely I could emulate a real collage on screen. Instead of throwing a filter over everything or relying on 100 blended textures and adjustment layers, I simply took ~200 pictures of my actual collage stock and used that as my palette for the video. It worked surprisingly well and gave each scene an immediate level of cohesion that otherwise would have taken ages to get right. I’m proud of these vignettes, even as stills, but you should go check out the song on @madskamuse ‘s page if you want to see how rad a moving picture can be ❤️

@madskamuse is self-proclaimed rose-colored rock from Philadelphia, Pennslyvania. The band is fronted by Maddy Rose Weisman with guitarist Sean Bonney-Burrill, and keyboardist Gabe Banford. Their lyricism touches on themes of yearning, nostalgia, and soul searching with a hopeful twist. Madska's sound, which sits somewhere between pop, rock, indie, and alternative, is unique: introspective yet driving, healing yet fiery.

As the sun sets for the final time of the month Evil Butler can be found caught in quite the trepidatious situation. They decided to venture into the thicket in search of all the bangers they could find. But not before long they could turn a full 360 degrees and still not know which way they initially came from. Evil Butler, remaining un-panicked, sprouted a plan. They began to shimmy up the closest tree, and after 24 hours the pear 🍐 managed to reach the peak and meet the open sky. Just as Evil Butler had planned.. a large bird of unspecified origin swoops down and grabs Evil Butler from the top of the tree. The bird takes a cautious nibble of the pear. Then finding itself so disgusted by the taste, the bird drops evil butler from a height of 10,000 feet. Evil Butler then bounces gracefully off the ground to find themself free from the barriers of the thicket. They subsequently returned to the dungeon with this month’s TOP 10 SONG + 6 HONORABLE MENTIONS.
