Part 2 — No plan, no routine - just flowing with the music. Musicality, elegance and a bit of creativity coming together naturally, finding the rhythm and that connection that makes ballroom what it is. ❤️

Different styles, different ideas, but the same love for the dance. London meets St Louis — and once the music starts, the floor does the talking.

And the winners are… Kelly & Michael🏆❤️

The judging came down to four things: foundations, flow, creativity and use of the floor — and their performance ticked every box. Full of energy, authentic to who they are, creative from start to finish, with flow that kept the whole floor moving. They used the space beautifully and brought their own flavour to it.

It was a unanimous decision from the judges. 👏🏽 A proper celebration of what ballroom is all about — connection, creativity, individuality and having a bloody good time on skates.

Congratulations @sk8empress & @madu1966 ! 🥂🛼❤️

Round 2 🔥 Kelly & Michael brought their creativity to the floor, playing with the music and throwing some lovely unexpected moves into the mix.

Then Kenneth & Juliana took their time, finding the rhythm and letting the music lead the way. ✨

Two very different styles, both bringing their own flavour to the floor — and the crowd definitely had something to say about it! 👏🏽🛼❤️

A ballroom skating gala is one thing. Bringing together a room full of people who love music, movement, connection and a good time? That’s something else.

From the finest fits in front of our banner, to skaters and spectators getting down on the floor, this night was about all of us.
Different backgrounds. Different styles. Different levels of skating. One room, one vibe, and a whole lot of energy.

The ballroom community showed up, dressed up and danced the night away. And seeing everyone connect, share the floor and enjoy the occasion was everything.

❤️❤️❤️

A NIGHT WE WON'T FORGET ✨

Our first Ballroom Skating Gala in association with Leo White. And what a beautiful night it was. 🥂🛼

From the moment you stepped onto the red carpet, everyone embraced the occasion. The finest garms, beautiful energy, and a ballroom full of people ready to dance the night away.

Skaters and spectators came together, the drinks were flowing, and the vibes were vibing.

🥂 A complimentary drink on arrival — Prosecco or a non-alcoholic alternative — served in our London Ballroom Skating branded champagne flutes for you to take home. A little something to remember the night by.

🏆 THE FRIENDLY BALLROOM COMPETITION
Phenomenal! It was such a pleasurz witnessing how far our ballroom community has come. The level, the creativity, the connection… you lot have been putting in the work, and it shows!

Congratulations to @sk8empress & @madu1966 ! 👏🏾🔥

🎶 DJ NIQUE J… DJ NIQUE J!
Had to say it twice because she absolutely killed it! The tunes kept everyone moving all night, from the slow jams to the party favourites. She nailed it! 🔥

We, the hosts took the floor! The cheers, the energy, the love from the room was 😘.

Leo, thank you for sharing this vision with us. We are glad we were able to create a ballroom first with you.

And to every single person who came, dressed up, danced, competed, cheered, supported, and helped make this night what it was…

THANK YOU! ❤️

You made this more than a gala. You made it a celebration of ballroom skating, connection, community, and everything we love about this culture.

Until next year… 🥂🛼✨

So yesterday, @madu1966 & @sk8empress won the first UK Ballroom Skating competion - what a pleasure and a privilege it was.

Madu and I put in so much practise (which we thoroughly enjoyed) just to be at a level where we could compete (especially after coming back to skating from injury).

The aim was to have fun and do ourselves proud first - anything on top of that would be a bonus.

This first elegance gala and friendly competition really brought out the best in the ballroom community. So many people put in the work and displayed their A game.

It was a wonderful event from start to finish (and hear tell that there will be more events diwn the line).

We'd like to extend a huge thank you to @london_ballroom_skating @nikkiandandrew & @leowhite1wheel for putting their time, energy, and love into this event - for all of us.

It was so amazing to see skaters inspired and try ballroom skating for the very first time - that is the best part.

Coming back to the gorgeous @stanelyarts again (on skates) was a true blessing.

Thank you to @mademoiselle_mizuyo for capturing the moment for us so well.
