FACES BEHIND THE FILM - MADY @madyhart is a Vancouver-based filmmaker and photographer, and the Director of Photography & Editor behind Carving Space. With a deep love for the outdoors and the people who find meaning there, Mady is drawn to stories that inspire connection, curiosity, and adventure. Through Shredcatz, she helped bring these women’s stories to life behind the camera, in the edit, and through the story itself. We’re stoked to have had Mady as the final piece of the crew behind the series. Make sure to check out Carving Space on YouTube ahead of this winter to get stoked and hear our story.

Ali is another amazing woman who worked on our film, Carving Space, as a Producer, Cinematographer and Photographer. Based in Banff, she spends her winters shooting for brands, athletes, and events- from small community contests to professional-level competitions like Natural Selection and the World Cup. While not everyone in snowboarding can go pro, Ali believes there’s plenty of room in the community for those who want to contribute creatively. Through her work behind the lens, she’s carving out space in the industry and hopes to inspire more women to step into the male-dominated snow world. To see some of Ali’s work behind the camera, check out Carving Space 💖

Some of the best conversations happen without a phone in reach. No wifi already does some of that work for you. {theAND} cards do the rest — stop by the community dome and pick a deck: couples, long-term love, healing, good vibes, friends, self, family. Whatever connection you’re craving this trip, there’s a deck for it. Complimentary to borrow during your stay, and yours to take home from the gift shop. 📸: @madyhart @the_skindeep @sunshinecoastbc

Skater girls x @landyachtz ❤️‍🔥🛹 This is what Cedar is all about! Teaching girls to skate for the first time, bringing community together, and giving back to SJDS community. We’re so grateful for Landyachtz helping us make it happen and for inspiring the next generation of skater girls.
