CROCKPOT 15 BEAN SOUP WITH SMOKED TURKEY & GREENS | INSPO: @maeshomesweethome 👩🏽‍🍳🤌🏽 I came across this recipe and knew I had to recreate it in my own kitchen—but of course, I had to make it a little more P.O.I.S.E. 🌿✨ I swapped the apple cider vinegar for our homemade fermented Fire Cider Tonic and added thyme from our apothecary. Because herbal wellness doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes, it simply starts with what’s already happening in your kitchen. A warm meal. Good herbs. Intentional ingredients. And plenty to feed your village. 🥘🌿 This season, I’m bringing more of my herbal knowledge into my everyday cooking and showing you simple ways to incorporate herbal practices into the meals you’re already making at home. 🌿 The Fire Cider I used in this recipe is still available! I have a limited number of jars remaining. Full ingredient list + recipe directions in the comments. 👇🏾 Follow for simple ways to bring herbal wellness into your everyday kitchen. 🌿 #HerbalWellness #HerbalKitchen #FireCider #homecooking #holisitchealth

15 Bean Soup This one had great flavor, but we turned out brothier than the source recipe. My turkey legs were still slightly frozen when they went in, so it may have been that. It’s definitely worth a remake, if only to try and get the beans cooked a little better a things a little more stew-y. Overall rating: 7/10 ⭐️ TikTok: maeshomesweethome Instagram: @maeshomesweethome #dinner #15beansoup #soup #soupseason #crockpot

This cobbler is rustic, easy, and so good you’ll want to make it every day! 🤤🫐 Toss fresh peaches and blueberries with a few ingredients right in the skillet, add a quick crumble topping, and bake. 🥧✨ Tap the link in our bio or keep reading for full recipe details. ⤴️ Ingredients: 🍑 Fruit Filling: 5 cups peeled and sliced fresh yellow peaches 2 cups fresh blueberries 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon salt 🧈 Buttery Topping: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup salted butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup of sugar Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Add peaches and blueberries directly to a 10- to 12-inch cast iron skillet. Add brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gently toss everything together in the skillet until the fruit is evenly coated. Combine flour, sugar, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Add melted butter and vanilla and stir until a thick, clumpy topping forms. Crumble the topping evenly over the fruit, leaving a few openings for the peaches and blueberries to bubble through. Bake in the preheated oven until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling in the center, 45 to 55 minutes. Let the cobbler rest for 25 to 30 minutes before serving to allow the filling to thicken. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. 🎥: Maggie Mae @maeshomesweethome #castiron #skillet #peaches #blueberry #cobbler

Creamy Jerk Sirloin Steak Pasta 🥩🔥 Save this for later 🤝🔥 Rich, creamy and packed with jerk flavour. 😮‍💨 Started by pan-searing a sirloin steak, then basted it with butter and garlic before setting it aside to rest. In the same pan I softened red onion, added pimento, smoked paprika, onion granules, oregano, all-purpose seasoning and jerk seasoning, then stirred through tomato purée. Added chicken stock, poured in double cream, finished with fresh parsley and mature cheddar, then tossed everything through 250g penne. Topped with sliced sirloin steak. Would you try this?
