“The arrangements, harmonic overtones and timbral qualities of the string quartet bring out the nervous, constantly moving underbelly of Dillinger’s style, emphasizing the inherent cleverness of the compositions.”
–The Wire

“There are insane music feats — and then there’s a string quartet covering the Dillinger Escape Plan’s ‘One of Us Is the Killer’ in its entirety. NYC’s Seven)Suns have done just that, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the mathcore titans’ teeth-rattling 2013 opus — a classical-music reinvention that comes approved by Dillinger’s own guitarist-songwriter-bandleader @benweinman , now of Suicidal Tendencies.”
–Revolver

“Comprising violinists Earl Maneein and Adda Kridler, violist Fung Chern Hwei and cellist Jennifer DeVore, Seven)Suns is a string quartet that applies classical training to the music of metal and hardcore... Such relentless works.”
–The Strad

“Seven)Suns, a NYC-based string quartet, has recorded a note-for-note 10th-anniversary reinterpretation of The Dillinger Escape Plan’s ‘One of Us Is the Killer’ album. And who said heavy metal was dead? Let alone the string quartet.”
–Slipped Disc

“Seven)Suns is marking 10 years of The Dillinger Escape Plan’s monumental fifth album ‘One of Us Is the Killer’ with a string quartet reinterpretation of the record in full… and it’s just as intense as the original.”
–Metal Injection

“You ever listen to something and instantly feel… unnerved by it? That’s the exact feeling I got when I first heard Seven)Suns‘ string quartet version of The Dillinger Escape Plan‘s ‘Prancer’... Dissonant chaos with a touch of class.”

5/14/23: My last show at Hadestown. A day I’ll never forget, but more importantly, a whole journey I’ll never forget.

Every single person at the Walter Kerr showed me kindness and support and love. I miss and love you already, Hadestown family. Don’t worry, more Sheananigans to come!!

Maia Martinez and David Salvatierra did it again!
What an amazing installment of the Hudson Valley Tango Festival! Maia and David go above and beyond, making everything humanly possible to make sure that every single attendee is taken care of, every detail covered, and everyone as happy as can be. This can translate in one way only: 100% success! Bravi and THANK YOU for having us!!! Personal thanks to Javier Sanchez for sitting in with us.

Nice morning tango rehearsal and I’m off to the airport, spending a few days in Iowa for a few days for Practical Method taiji training. I’m ready to get my ass kicked by Master Chen and all his disciples…… I think? 🤔 #NYfreelancemusician #tangueroovasional

It had been a beautiful two-day run with Richie Beirach here on States side. Richie is really happy to be home for the first time after the pandemic. He is playing teo duo sets with Dave Liebman tomorrow at Mezzrow. We urge you to go see these legendary musicians and childhood friends in a very rare performance! #progressivechambermusic #chamberjazz #jazz #chambermusic #piano #stringquartet #pianoquintet

Throwback: In Sirius Quartet, we’re all about cultural diversity and the open heart to learn new things. With our new member Sunjay on tour with us for the very first time, we certainly had to make him teach us his mother tongue, Telugu——the glorious language spoken in the epic film R.R.R. “Campēstānu” means “Imma kill you”. Gregor carelessly revealed his secret Italian heritage… #tourlife #telugulesson #telugu #teluguunterricht #germany🇩🇪
