Summer is for friendship ☀️

It's been such a privilege to spend time with my writer pals, & to read and participate in local literary events, including this weekends inaugural Deep Vellum Music & Literature Festival in Dallas, organized by the incomparable @deepvellum

Is there such a thing as too much love in one place? Definitely not.

I’m thrilled to share some photos from the SMU Symposium on Poetic Form! Each poetry reading was gorgeous; every panel was brilliant; the round table discussions were just as much fun as they were insightful. There’s really nothing else like it—a place where some of the most incredible poets and poetry scholars get together. Thank you to everyone who attended! It’s such an honor working with Project Poëtica at @smu.english 💙 (and thank you, @kathytranx, for the extraordinary photos!)

Looking back on a fantastic few days at our second SMU Symposium on Poetic Form!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on our @smudallas campus for two days of inspiring conversations about rhyme, sonnets, big data, invention, and the evolving possibilities of poetic form.

We were honored to welcome keynote scholar @anahidnersessian and keynote poet @adalimonwriter, along with so many additional extraordinary speakers.

From brilliant talks to new connections and unforgettable discussions, this year’s symposium was full of energy, insight, and community!
