Practicing for even the worst case positions, we’re still looking for openings to be offensive…. And just a fun counter attack 😈

Most people rotate out here just to disengage and survive the position. I want to turn the defense into offense.

Ideally, I’m throwing the rotation hard enough to come underneath their legs and attack immediately. But even if that opening isn’t there, the mindset stays the same.

They elevate the single and start climbing to the tree top finish… rotate out, recover your base, and immediately look for the re-attack.

Single leg. Tree top. Flip. Re-attack.

The further you get, the more you realize how much there still is to learn. A new belt doesn’t mean you’ve arrived. It means the work you’ve already put in has been recognized, and now the standard gets even higher.

#TeamBronco_Ambassador | When the girls trip finally makes it out of the group chat… It’s been two years in the making and it only took one of us moving away to finally get it on the calendar.

Unfortunately, we committed to a crappy weather weekend. It had been a hot summer already and this just happened to be when the thunderstorms rolled in, wildfires broke out, and smoke filled the air… but that didn’t stop us… nor did the consistent 30mph winds with 60mph gusts, but that did pivot us from our original backpacking plans.

Since I first came out to Colorado, we had been saying we should do a girls backpacking trip.

Well, we tried.

The winds were so strong that it tore up one of my older tents (& it wasn’t even the ultralight tent), and then the wildfire smoke turned the sky orange… and that’s when we bailed and hiked back down.

Having the Bronco Sport® and rooftop tent though, it worked well for sleeping four girls in/on the vehicle.

While this trips came at the worst possible time w the fires, winds and storms, it also couldn’t have come at a better time. We all needed this trip for one reason or another, whether it’s work, fam, relationships or just personal reasons. And overall, it made for a great bonding experience and the most memorable trip in every way.💞

So… are we having fun yet?😅

Maggie has been training for nearly 5 years under coach @zacharyjudomaes and has become one of the top ranked judokas at Imperial, alongside her husband @mdkinno .
Maggie brings a ton of experience, great energy, and a passion for helping others learn.

Whether you’re completely new to grappling or already have experience, this class is a great place to learn judo, takedowns, self-defense, BJJ, and build confidence in a supportive environment.
