🌳OAKLAND, ARE YOU READY? 🔥
**BUDDY DISCOUNT AVAILABLE!**

On June 23rd, I’m bringing Somatics of Our Collective Survival to Oakland for an evening of embodied practice, collective skill-building, and neuro-coherence in community.

We’re living through a time of profound acceleration—ecological disruption, social upheaval, collapsing institutions, and rapid transformation. Many of us have spent years developing self-awareness and personal healing practices. But what happens when we step into relationship, community, and collective action?

🌱 How do we stay connected when things get intense?
🌱 How do we increase our capacity for challenge, uncertainty, and change?
🌱 How do we cultivate neural systems capable of cooperation instead of fragmentation?

Together we’ll explore the living laboratory of collective survival through movement, rhythm, body percussion, relational exercises, play, and restorative practices that help us strengthen our ability to attuned & respond coherently.

✨Part play-shop
🧠Part neural system lab
🌀Part community movement practice

If you’re a community tender, healer, organizer, educator, artist, therapist, parent, activist, or cycle-breaker, looking for body-based skills to support deep collective care & cohesion, please show through next week!

Resilience isn’t something we build alone…
Our capacity to survive & thrive in these times depends on how well we can move, adapt, and coordinate together. 🌿

So many of us have been touched by Joanna Macy, and I’m grateful to gather the Sunday in community to honor her generous life! If you could use a rich evening of sanctuary, poetry, music, listening to the land, and honoring the inspiration of Joanna’s life, you are most welcome 🌹Thank you so much to @yergoing2die for hosting us!

I managed to find little snippets of each presenter with Joanna, just a tiny slice of the wide web she cast into her world, because you see, she LOVED being here. Her curiosity carried her pretty far out into relationships and inwards in exploration. And she shared her bounty with us.

We’ll have altars setup around the space, in case you’re wanting to bring any offerings. Totally optional.

with yours truly, @drew.dellinger @weaving_earth @karukibird of @mamusemusic @kjpraisesong @itsbeenalovelyday and Logan Navar

Come as you are. This Sunday.

I want us to normalize appreciating each other while we are still here.
Loving each other.
Seeing each other.
Embrace your community with compassion and care. See them and help them as much as you can.
Tell them about the small things they do that makes them a great friend. A kind person. A source of comfort. A role model.
Remind the ones you love, that you love them in ways that make sense to them.
Ask questions. And ask more questions.
Be their biggest fan.
And most importantly, give them grace.
We can’t keep assuming our people know how much we love them.

Goal for you: ask 3 people close with you what are ways they feel most loved (I.e. love languages like words of affirmation, acts of service, etc.) and try to show up for them in that way as consistent as it feels comfortable for you for a whole month. Set reminders. Feed the relationship in kind and compassionate ways.
You’ll see how they change.
When our people are loved correctly they can take on the world, it seems. I have witnessed such beautiful change in those that’s supportive needs are met with genuine love.
You can be that for someone.
You can be that for yourself

I’ll start: @mag_walk - I am so inspired by your positivity and spirit. Your openness and creativity. Your ability to truly be with your people and yourself. I am better from knowing you. 🤟🏼 meeting you that day has brought so much joy and love since. Abundance. I feel so warm with you. 💚 thank you.

Xoxo - Kat. V

Today's tufting Basics was just the medicine I needed to start my week. I am so proud of these Tufting Rockstars! They brought such a fun and bright energy to this workshop. I really enjoy sharing this art form with people who are hungry to create. It fills my cup all the way up to watch as they expand their creative skill set and fall in love with Tufting. Thanks for letting me teach you friends! You're all so inspiring 💖

Thank you @phipottery for being the amazing wizard you are. For pushing me, for helping me establish healthy boundaries, for always teaching, and for being a fierce joy beam. Thank you for sharing your space, your home. I adore you.
