Colorado in July 💘

Last month, I submitted a new set of film photos for the July Call-For-Entry at @dusk.photogallery titled “Abandoned.” This theme is one of my favorites, as I’ve photographed numerous abandoned motels, cars, and locations during my travels. Surprisingly, one of my early Des Moines photos from around 2017, a classic gold car behind a fence on the East Side, was selected! I traveled to Santa Fe last Wednesday to enjoy the city, relax, and, most importantly, attend the opening reception! Other selected photographers also attended the event, and we all celebrated each other’s work. It was such a wonderful evening. Thanks to @dusk.photogallery for having us!

Dust in the rearview, volume all the way up!

Bad weeks need backroads. No cell service, no notifications, just dirt roads, an empty tank of thoughts, and a playlist loud enough to drown out everything else.

Today was simple and perfect.
—scroll to see my birthday breakfast & cake 🎂(it’s funny)—
All credit goes to @suvowarshofsky for hearing me say “I don’t want to think about anything” and doing ALL my favorite things to the greatest of his ability!
He woke me up with a full body massage. Then brought me my face ice rollers and put on music for me to get ready for the beach.
But before going to the beach; surprised me with pancakes and coffee! We went to the beach with our good friend while he took pictures of us!
Suvo had a special moment planned… 🥹 (more on that later)
We got some lunch and then came home to work on content creation together.
Evening gym workout together and a movie with dinner to close the day. 🥲

I feel so loved 🤗🥰
Thank you so much, Suvo. You really do know me better than anyone, I’m so honored to call you my fiancé 💍 I’m so excited to make little mini you-s; because the kind of man you are- the world needs more of!!

Here’s what I’m calling in for this next chapter:
💪 Build strong habits with the gym - go 3x a week
📲 Grow my digital presence to 3k followers through consistent posting
💸 Pay off all my debt (~$8k)
💍 Marry Suvo 🫶🏼
🌎 Collect 3 new passport stamps
🌄 Move back to Colorado
🤝 Coach my first client for 3+ months

I’m beyond grateful for everyone who sent birthday wishes and for all the people who’ve come into my life this year — every friendship, lesson, and memory shaped me into who I am today. Thank you for being part of it.

I’ll share a separate post soon reflecting on everything I learned in my 27th year, but for now I’m staying right here — in the moment, soaking it all in. 🕯️

Hey! Sooo I’ve been MIA for a few years.. but in that time I’ve collected about 50k photos and 9k videos 😆 These are just a few (98) snips of time that mean a lot to me. 💎
