This mud room is one of our favorite rooms we designed in this house. But we had to get red in there because that was the thread in the entire house.

Your headshot is usually the first thing someone sees before they ever meet you. And if you’ve been quietly avoiding yours, you’re not alone. Most people don’t update their headshot until something forces them to. A new job. A website refresh. A moment where they cringe a little sending someone their LinkedIn. But the best headshot sessions I do aren’t the ones where someone waited until the last minute. They’re the ones where someone decided to be a little ahead of it. Where they came in knowing what they needed the photos for and we built the whole session around that. That’s the kind of intentional that actually shows up in the final images. When did you last update yours? Drop a year in the comments - no judgment, I’m genuinely curious. If you need a new headshot, let’s work together. Link in my bio to schedule your session! @susansullivanrealestate @joyofeating_nutrition @lesliemaguirerealestate @maggiemeinersprojects @jensegalldesign @petal_and_garden

Just some photos from my time at The Chautauqua Institute, made some fantastic new friends with great artists from all over, only slightly delayed on getting this post out. @chq.art

The first work I made here started with a stick…and somehow, the last one ended with a stick too. 🫣 I’m so grateful for these two unforgettable weeks and for meeting such an amazing group of artists. Seeing everyone’s work, visiting their studios, and learning about their practices left me deeply inspired and humbled. ❤️❤️❤️ I’ll remember our conversations over breakfast and dinner, overeating wraps, playing trivia, competitive tennis, sunrise kayaking through the fog, sunsets, concerts, morning and evening walks, sitting by the lake, walking meditation, swimming, watching the birds, looking at every possible flower, collecting pieces of bark and pine cones, spotting groundhogs, bunnies🐰, squirrels 🐿️ , and skunks 🦨 and plenty of laughter. 😆 Somewhere in between, I made art, we curated a show @jencysekaranstudio , and our exhibition was featured in the local newspaper.📰 Thank you to the wonderful organizers @erikabhess, so welcoming and competitive @samkelly202, visiting artists and curators, and to all the artists who made this experience so special. 🤗 I’m leaving with new ideas, beautiful memories, and a few meaningful sticks. 🤍@chq.art

So delighted to be featured in @itsdeenalang’s new @substack series PIVOTer, inspired by her viral @threads post asking to hear from women over 40 who overhauled their lives (later covered in @upworthy). Yes, the title is hilarious but the heart of the message is that creative risks are always worthy endeavors. Proud of what me + @maggiemeinersprojects have created together- and much more in store! 🔥 I’ll put the Substack in my Linktree for anyone that wishes to read…
