I almost let fear stop me.😮‍💨
But instead of that I sat in fear…N I created something beautiful.

✨ My first Sip & Heal: Goddess Circle 🧘🏾‍♀️was everything I didn’t know my spirit needed. A safe space. A soul shift. A reminder that healing doesn’t have to happen alone.

I was going to push this event back until late September but spirit said go now. And I’m so glad I listened.
What came from that decision was sisterhood, support, softness, and strength. Women showing up for themselves and each other in the most beautiful way.

Huge thank you to @mahoganyflows for leading the most powerful, gentle, grounding yoga flow with the women your presence was divine and unforgettable.

This is just the beginning. Many more to come. Many more women to meet. Many more hearts to heal.

💬 If you attended Sip & Heal, please drop a comment below and share your experience. Let the next women know what to expect, how you felt, and what you took away from the circle. Your words might be exactly what another goddess needs to hear.

my motto: life is meant to be enjoyed and experienced.

travel more. try different foods. apply for that degree. switch careers. defend yourself. don’t be afraid to say i love you.

I scheduled a doctors appointment bc i was experiencing intense discomfort on my spine. the physician told me to go to the ER so they could do some tests… that turned into them performing an invasive spinal procedure 2 days later 🥲

i was very anxious and honestly, mentally unprepared about what may happen.

however… i didn’t let my thoughts overwhelm me into a spiral. i felt very in control and optimistic, allowing myself to see the good in each moment.

here’s how i did it:

✨ i decided to change the narrative

i knew spiraling would only make things worse. i actively chose to change the narrative in my head from “omg what if this happens”, and focused on all the good that was already happening: “wow this is one of the best hospitals in the county. the nursing team is so caring. my loved ones are so supportive”.

✨ i focused on my own positive actions

there’s nothing i could change about the situation. i had an infection in my body that may have gotten worse before it got better.

i repeatedly thought: “im proud of myself for seeking professional help when the discomfort increased. i’m happy i didn’t wait it out”.

✨ i advocated for myself each step of the way

as someone who has dealt w/ scoliosis since i was 12, i’m always worried about the dismissive nature of some medical professionals.

i actively spoke up for myself when i needed help, communicated my needs to each physician, and explained why i needed them to adjust my care plan. i did NOT let them overstep my boundaries nor dismiss me. i refused to allow someone with “higher education” to be overshadow what I NEED.

✨ these are the same tools offered in “Quiet The Noise”. this gentle guide teaches you how to calm your mind and remain confident during overwhelming situations. it teaches you how to break down a chaotic mindset, and offers new perspectives to turn to when you need it the most.

i’m so thankful for it and i hope it can help someone else during their time of need.

so sorry y’all I meant to turn the sound off of the original video my bad

I almost talked myself out of going today because I was an hour late ⏰ but something told me to still show up… and I’m so glad I did 🧘🏾‍♀️✨ I walked up on the class, asked if I could still join, and sis said “Absolutely get in where you fit in.” So I rolled my mat out and flowed with the vibes 💫

Shoutout to @mahoganyflows for the beautiful wellness class and to @hellahappylife for the delicious Joy herbal mocktail 💙 (non-alcoholic + full of good energy) 🧿🍹💐

Get into the vibes. Get into the healing. Get into the joy. 🧘🏾‍♀️🌿💫 #WellnessJourney #BlackGirlYoga #SpiritualSelfCare #EnergyShift

give yourself praise and acknowledgment for showing up the best way you can, each day.

and show yourself grace on the days where showing up means making your bed and taking a shower.

it’s okay to listen to your intuition, but it’s not okay to allow outside noise and intrusive thoughts to guide your view of yourself.

@quiet.the.noise.ebook can help you develop patience and grace within 🤍
take the first step.. because you deserve a soft life 🌸

as an overthinker, i often feel isolated and alone. i feel no one understands me and that i’ll be a burden by expressing my thoughts.

it was SO hard for me to get out of the cycle of overthinking and pessimism bc it’s become an unconscious response the moment i feel discomfort.

but then i thought… 🧠

“do i want to live like this forever?”

“do i want to pass down this cycle to my future children?”

the immediate answer was NO‼️

so then i asked myself: “well what CAN i do to interrupt the cycle??”

AND SO, “QUIET THE NOISE” was born! 📚🥳

🌟 i created a gentle e-book to guide you away from the noise and into a space of empowerment and control.

🌟 this step-by-step is a companion to support you through the journey as learn to show yourself grace while you unravel these thoughts.

🌟from this e-book you will learn how to…
- recognize an intrusive thought in the moment
- understand the tone of voice
- approach them without self-criticism
- reflect in the moment to self-soothe
- BONUS: affirmation reminders, reflection prompts, a variety of practical resources to calm the nervous system, and website links for more information.
➕ MUCH MORE

💐 this is a reminder that…
- you are not alone in this feeling
- you do not have to feel stuck in this cycle
- there is nothing wrong with you for having these thoughts
- you deserve all the flowers and unconditional love
