Over these two unique weekend events the gallery becomes a place to explore a shared terrain of mythological recovery and remembrance. #repost @immaireland As our four one-month Dwell Here residents finish their current time at IMMA we’d like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the first Dwell Here Assembly of 2026. The assembly creates moments to gather, be present, discuss, and listen. Through a mix of formal and informal activities, it explores the questions and themes shaping the practices brought together through the open call. While many events take place onsite at IMMA, it is equally important to venture further afield and engage with the wider cultural ecology of the city and island. One-month residents conclude their time with a resonant experience, new connections, and a foundation for future possibilities. For one-year residents, the more embedded studio experience is punctuated by moments in which the roles of host and guest gently shift back and forth within the Dwell Here community. There is much more happening in the studios beyond the assembly, but it remains an important moment in the residency calendar. Everyone’s commitment to come to the table is greatly appreciated. We hope the Dwell Here community found the week enriching. Today we are excited to start the first day of our weeklong Dwell Here Residency Assembly where we make space for IMMA residents to connect through discussion, workshops, site visits, and more. Yearlong residents Glenn Loughran, Paul O’Brien, Atoosa Pour Hosseini, Samir Mahmood, and Addoley Dzegede will be joined by four one-month residents Andrew Cummings, Patricia Cronin, Yujin Lee and Maia Nunes. On the last day of the assembly, Tuesday 24 February, Dwell Here will host Open Studios from 15.30–17.30pm for anyone who would like to come visit the residents along IMMA’s Studio Street. All welcome. Dwell Here offers participants a simple proposition: to commit to this time and place while thinking deeply about its urgencies. @immaireland residency notes 💭 What a dream it has been to be a resident artist at Irish Museum of Modern Art. Words can hardly capture the depth of inspiration, generosity, and new friendships that emerged during this one-month residency. This happened last Saturday! Menu here Beetroot caarpaccio with honey drizzle, greek lemon salt with olive oil. Autumnal roasted sweet potatoes with orange glaze, Zaatar, marinated mixed tomatoes with baked feta. Black grape and blueberry raspberry rocket leafy green salad. Aubergine curry with dates. Paired with Middle eastern yoghurt dressing and pomegranate. Coconut and lime creamy rice. Picked cardamom lemon beet onions. Sweet pepper hummus with sumac. Whipped Herby lemon, basil parsley butter with sourdough. Kelhy stole the day with her food ! My first time experiencing Kelhy's food . We also moved , laughed , rested , and of course went to other Dimensions with Maia's incredible sound healing and a Nidra . I'm so looking forward to doing it all over again .
