The first time I wrote publicly about my first pregnancy loss back in 2015, dozens of women messaged me privately, sharing their stories and found solace in knowing they weren’t alone. I was shocked at the amount who had experienced it because most of their experiences had been kept private.

The topic is still somewhat taboo till this day, not because women don’t desire to talk about it but because they often feel somewhat alone in their thought process and it’s not always the easiest to convey, sometimes it’s genuinely hard to express those emotions surrounding it. Which is why “Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month” exists, to hold room for the mothers like me who remember their babies every single day. It was also created shine light around the topic so it would not become taboo.

So if you know any woman who has experienced a pregnancy or infant loss reach out to them and let them know you hold space for the memories too no matter how short, how many years, months or days it has been, WE REMEMBER 👼🏽👼🏽👼🏽👼🏽👼🏽👼🏽

A maternity session made even sweeter knowing just how loved and prayed for this little girl already was. 🤍

This was their miracle baby, and getting to document the season when they were finally waiting to meet her was such an honor. After everything it took to get to this moment, these photos hold so much more than a beautiful baby bump. They hold so much love, hope, and anticipation.

And the best part? This was only the beginning. I now get to capture their sweet girl’s entire first year and watch their miracle grow right in front of my camera. 🥹❤️
