Come join me for a lovely Christmas-themed candle workshop, where you will get to blend your very own fragrance.

Maybe you love cinnamon and orange - the classic seasonal fragrance or maybe you want to make a woody herbal fragrance - anything goes as you can blend your own.

Poured into 3 beautiful handmade pinch pots, they make the perfect gift or a treat for you.

We have sold out of the afternoon class so we opened up a morning slot, so get in quick! There is tea, coffee and biscuits and you can have a browse of all the wonderful artisan products the barn has to offer too.

Makers Day 2026

Yes I’m a month late after the actual event BUT it was such a lovely day I had to share it still.

Best part was seeing some lovely familiar faces who I had met previously who came to decorate their own candles 🫶🏻 oh and chatting to all the other lovely makers doing their thing.

How lucky am I that this is my job 💓

And of course thank you to @the_coppiced_wood_company Rosie who puts this all on, a mamouth amount of work and brings such a lovely community of makers together.

Wow wow wow I have just done the most fabulous course at Makers Barn just outside Petworth. This morning I created a paper Iceland Poppy! It was a half day session in the most gorgeous setting that Rosie has created and run by Rachel from Southon Fox. A Botanical Paper Artist she uses paints and dyes to bring the paper to life in life-like blooms. What she creates are hand-painted, sculptural studies of flowers, created petal by petal from crepe paper, watercolour and wire. She provides all the materials and tools and takes you through all the stages from making the intricate stamens, shaping the petals, sepals, leaflets and stem to create the most incredible end product. Plus you can buy single stems that’s she’s already made from Makers Barn. I’m hooked and will certainly be booking on future courses. Thank you so much for a lovely creative morning Rosie and Rachel after a hectic harvest yesterday, I’m thrilled with my poppy 🌺
