Im so grateful to have been able to participate in make your own masters this past year! It's been an absolute incredible experience working with some amazing creatives that I now get to call best friends ! And I've made lots of interesting works that I may not have been able to without their insight and motivation!

I am so grateful to every person who came to the MYOM 2026 showcase last month.

It was a special honour to see Dawood Sufi, and show him the results of the support that he, and Ruby Steel - the founders of @studioexception , have given me over the last year. Being guided through their inclusive design methodology has shifted my practice in ways I could not have imagined.

I also finally got to meet and thank @grac3lister in person for the hours of remote support she and Steven Cristofaro from Berghaus gave me through some of the most challenging months of MYOM, and show her the physical outcomes.

A big shout out to the amazing friends who showed up, despite having not heard much from me for the last year.

I feel very privileged to have received so much support from my community.

myom degree show • 18-month self-directed master’s • shoreditch design week

what i’ve done throughout these 18 months has been completely about experimenting. no pressure to complete a work or make “the best” work. i gave myself permission to make mistakes, play around, and simply observe without needing an outcome.

i’ve also finally started showing my analogue photography, working with metal, experiencing glassblowing, and really digging into the world of material experimentation.

i have SO many photos from all 13 shows this year. hold your horses🐴 , because i’m starting to share them all.

Last week, the internal street at Tea Building E1 became the backdrop for emerging artists across a variety of disciplines.

As part of Shoreditch Design Week, the 2026 Make Your Own Masters Showcase brought together 11 artists to celebrate a year of experimentation, exploration and personal development.

Thank you to the artists and visitors who brought the showcase to life.

From 17-20 September, the internal street at Tea Building E1 will be transformed for an art showcase.

The project, led by Make Your Own Masters, as part of Shoreditch Design Week, has supported more than 30 local artists, providing a platform for the next generation of creatives to develop and display their work.

Now in its fourth year, visitors can explore a diverse collection of work from 11 emerging artists within the backdrop of Shoreditch’s industrial past and present. Save the date.

Over the past year, I have been expanding my practice into apparel design for inclusion. I’ve been building on my experience in costume for movement to explore new possibilities, guided by the generous mentorship of brilliant practitioners, and held by my talented peers in the Make Your Own Masters collective. Being part of a supportive, multidisciplinary group of creatives has given me the confidence to do work that feels more urgent, necessary, and meaningful to me, and has created space for new perspectives and alternative design methodologies.

In September, we would like to share the work we have all been doing as part of MYOM with you, in an exhibition as part of Shoreditch Design Festival. MYOM is self-led and self-funded, so to do this we will need your help!

For the past year I’ve been part of a creative collective/ alternative education programme called Make Your Own Masters (MYOM)
It has been really transformative in my practice. It has enabled me to dig deep, find connections between the different strands of my work and step back and understand my ways of working.
I have learnt so much from my fellow MYOM artists!
In September we are putting on a final exhibition to showcase our best work and our creative journey on MYOM.
MYOM is unfunded and we need help to raise funds to put on our show.

As some of you may know I have been working on a program with make your own masters. We are having our final show in September that you are all invited to. In order to make it the best show possible we are asking for your help with covering some of the show expenses. Please see the link in my bio and donate whatever you can.
