Queens of Joy is coming to Australia 🇦🇺✨

We’re very happy to share that Queens of Joy will have its Australian premiere at Ukrainian Film Festival Australia @uff_australia in Melbourne.

It means a lot to us that the film continues its journey and meets new audiences so far from home.
This story is about freedom, courage, identity, and the power of community — and we’re grateful to share it with Australian viewers.

Queens of Joy - Official Selection 7th OFN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival London, 7–11 April
A queer documentary following three Ukrainian drag artists as they hold onto identity, freedom, and community during a time of uncertainty.

Monroe, Artur Ozerov (Aura), and Oleksandr Danilin (Marlen Scandal) come together to organise a charity drag show while navigating their own paths of self discovery. Through performance, friendship, and shared purpose, they create space for expression and connection in challenging times.

The film moves between personal stories and collective action, showing how queer expression can bring people together and hold space for visibility and support.

Directed by Ольга Гібелінда @gibelinda. Produced by Іванна Хіцінська @khitsinska

💖 QUEENS OF JOY — PRIX DU JURY LONG MÉTRAGE 💖

Our film Queens of Joy has received the Jury Prize for Best Feature Film at Festival Écrans Mixtes in Lyon (2026).

For us, this is more than a festival award. It is a sign that the stories of Ukrainian drag performers — their freedom, vulnerability, and strength — resonate far beyond Ukraine.

It is about visibility.
About dignity.
About joy that does not disappear even in times of war.

We thank the festival, the jury, and the audience for their support 💫
And we continue our journey across Europe.
