The winter season invites us to slow down and look inward.

Yin yoga for us, is one of those perfect active rest practices to help that introspection land softly, giving you space to notice what’s inside without judgment.

In that gentle pause, you’re giving yourself a powerful form of medicine, a quiet, everyday self-care that starts from the body.

Slow stretches, soft breath, and quiet presence become medicine we give to ourselves.

Join us on the 4th of July 9:00 - 10:30
Presence here is permission: to notice, to accept, to listen.

Open to woman and men, such a nourishing way to start your Saturday.

🌊There’s something about the ocean… she brings you back to yourself.

🌀 Mami Wata - a beautiful Womens Surf Retreat, hosted by @hightidesholisticclub. It wasn’t just a surf retreat… it was a full-body, soul-level reset.

✨Guided by the magic of @barefoot.goddess.chantelle (intuitive healer) & @theizzylife (surf coach), flowing through mindful movement with @malimindfulness , held in the waves by @hannahxxdodds ,& nourished by @celestekriel & @organiccreations522 with beautiful & healthy meals.

🤍Thank you to all the brands involved that added that extra touch of magic: @the_blonde_chaos , @euphorika.drink , @retro.club.za

🐚This week was about connection —to the ocean, to the body, to the mind, and to a circle of incredibly powerful women. Soft mornings, salty hair, deep laughter, rest, release, and pure presence.

📸 So grateful to have captured this experience — and already dreaming of many more to come.

Reflections from Our Surf & Yoga Retreat

This space has held each of us as we arrived, many with heaviness carried from life, from the noise and hurry. And yet, here, that weight began to melt and soften with the days we spent together. It felt like a gentle container, inviting us to simply be, with ourselves, with each other, and with the ocean that whispered its own quiet wisdom.

The communal area became a sanctuary where laughter, hugs, and honest listening found room to breathe, while the quiet moments by the fireplace offered space to reflect.

Walking alone along the shore, I felt the freedom to meet my own thoughts with gentleness, to release what no longer served me, and to invite new perspectives to take root. The rocks underfoot became my improvised yoga mats, a playful reminder that balance can be found in small, deliberate breaths and in the present moment.

I began to notice the abundance life has to offer, the slow, patient learning to love and accept myself just as I am, the openness to connect with others in a way that feels true and healing, the sense that there is enough, always, for rest, growth, and joy.

This space, this shoreline, this retreat, held us with warmth and acceptance, guiding us toward a softer, more expansive view of ourselves and our lives.

May we carry this gentleness forward, returning to the certainty that we are capable of spacious kindness toward ourselves and others, and that love and acceptance begin within, and that we can find joy in anything that we do.

Thank you thank you thank you @seashack_

Lena✨
You remind me of a sunset… the soft kind, where golden rays peek over the rocks and dance across the water, reflecting the most breathtaking colours.
You are fierce, yet deeply gentle.Your presence is calm, your words subtle, but they land exactly where they’re needed. You are something truly special. Keep shining your light wherever you go 🌞

I think I love the ocean because it is calm, beautiful and infinite

But also,

Angry, harsh, and magnificent

And that
Intrigues
Me

The voice of the sea, speaks to my soul

What are some of the thoughts running through your mind about your surfing? And how are you nurturing and loving yourself while thinking them?

We get a lot of women asking if they can join our Surf Retreats as a beginner?

YES- because you have IZZY!! Her love for what Surfing has meant to her way of living, fuels her passion to connect more people to this connection. She thrives at helping women to start their surf life. And her patience to meet you where you are at (beautiful) and remind you to have fun within this beginner moment of your life. So YES, Come

YES - while we encourage a few session ahead of the retreat for your own sense of confidence, we invite any beginner to join if they feel called to join, because the retreat is about so much more than just surfing!

We created this with an intention for the experience to be a space for any women to come and simply be, have fun, rest, play, connect and allow the 5 days to be a reset, a letting go, perhaps, an invitation to step into the part of you, that you’ve been wanting to be.

It’s more than just surfing - it’s a metamorphosis

It’s about reawakening what brings you alive through a connection with the ocean. As she guides you into the present moment, you enter a space of moving with intention and flow on the water, like a dance. The feeling is contagious, and you’ll quickly want to replicate it in more areas of your life. And it’s possible to do so. The ocean is a key that unlocks your potential.

“Watching yourself go from surfing in fear, to surrender and play! Has provided me with resilience, confidence, and flow state. Feelings which I am able to reconnect with outside of the water, as a way of living. - Chantelle”
