Framus Strato från tidigt 60-tal.
Den behövde en ombandning och ett dragstångsbyte. Efter arbetet går den att spela på och justera som en modern gitarr, men känns och låter som vintagegitarren den är.

The new prototype of a new model I’ve been developing for a while now.

Model ASH-57 Rebel.

25 inch scale length. Schaller tuners, TV Jones T-Armond pickups, Vegatrem VT1 Ultra Trem. Named the color scheme San Andreas Sunset. You can hear the pickups in the background. Some tweaks are bound to be done but happy with the overall look sound and feel of it.

Made a new routing template for splicing in wood for a headstock that had more than two headstock breaks. First picture is of the test route. The paint job included some careful colouring and scraping. Turned out decent I think.

Another seventies Custom in for a refret. As with a lot of them the board was very uneven and twisted, this time from a previous bad refret. Since the board had been leveled on the previous refret I felt I couldn’t risk sanding through the inlays. So I popped out them all before releveling the fretboard. In hindsight it was a good call, I realized I would have sanded through a few of them. Took forever, but worth it in the end. #gibsonlespaulcustom #gibsonguitars #lespaulcustom #refret #whatsonyourbench #luthiery #luthier

This badly warped Gibson ES335 neck that I installed carbon fiber rods in had a little hidden secret. All in all there was 3 half moon washers plus one round one behind the nut for the truss rod. Someone in 2008 reamed a little too deep. I would not have found out had I not needed to fix the crack that had formed on the back of the neck from those two hidden washers.

Lifting off fretboard on this 2008 Gibson ES335 with a neck that has a relief of 2mm with the truss rod loosened all the way with no strings on. Carbon fiber neck rods and some trickery will hopefully remedy this. #gibsnes335 #repair #luthiery #gibsonneckrepair #whatsonyourbench #malmögitarrverkstad
