Wasn’t expecting to cry as I wrote this, on my parents 46th wedding anniversary. ❤️😭

The art of noticing is such a real thing. And I’m so thankful that I had the upbringing I did, surrounded by so much love, as I do believe it fostered this God-given gift of photography.

Through financial hardship when they received help from family.

Through moving away from family and being homesick.

Through job changes.

Through new schools & navigating the community.

Through cancer, radiation, chemo, surgeries, more surgeries, more chemo, and all the sick days….

Through acting as a single parent a lot of the time.

Through kids going through traumas.

Through kids making dumb choices.

Through having your character being questioned from the town.

Through fighting for what you believe in.

Through moves away from everything you know and love to be with your kids and grandkids.

Through health scares.

Through it all…..I see the fight, I see the love, and the commitment, and I’m proud to be theirs.

What an honor it is to know a story such as this, just as it is to know a story such as yours.

My hearts desire to capture these memories and milestones are for memory, and documentation because you don’t know what season is next. Right now is a part of your story and it’s worth remembering.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad. I love you dearly, and I’m thankful God gave you to us.

To God be the Glory.

Thinking of our Ohana every day. Loving and missing you all. Those who are still suffering, those starting anew & those who got pushed off island.

This is my Mom. She couldn’t be more present. She’s in the photos because she’s there. She sits with you. Reads with you. Listens to you. Shares with you. Laughs with you. She’s had a phone in her hand more as a Grandma and with the changing of the times but she will choose to play over document, any day, Mom tell me if I’m wrong!

I on the other hand need this advice so badly. And Jade does look for me in photos so much. With the amount I work, with the full schedule, and my health struggles I’m not only more comfortable being the one to document, but also don’t like what I see when I’m documented.

I’m a shell of what I once was in this several year battle of health struggles and it’s easier for me to take the photo.

I’m trying with all my might to change this narrative, and trying to love her with every season, and honor what this body has been through.

Jade will be looking back one day, like I do, for proof of Mom. And I want her to see it. 🥹

Take the picture. Book the shoot. Let’s document this season. 🙏🏼 Click the link in my bio to inquire!

We had the best time at Peppa Pig Theme Park with family! 💕🐷
The rides were fun, the splash pad was a hit, and getting to make these memories together made it even better.
1000% worth every penny and every drop of sweat. 😅🤣

If you wish it, will it, pray it, meditate on it….if you share it with others…..”oh but life keeps getting sweeter” rather than the hard….regardless of your doubt….you just might be surprised how good life ends up being.

He’s the gift I never knew I needed. So thankful for this present, intentional brother.

He’s living in a miracle and he’s leading the way with humility and love, and I’m so proud he’s in my corner.

Adore you Bubba. 🫶🏻 Forever in awe of your story. Proof of Gods love. 💕

It takes a village, a community, a tribe. 🙌🏻 And I wouldn’t do it with anyone else surrounding me. I could post a million slides. Countless women from my past, from churches, from Maui, from WA, all my clients, past co-workers, my local baristas, librarians, my Pilates girls, my doctor’s office full of amazing women….I’m honored to walk beside you all.

There is a special place in my heart for those in these slides. I wouldn’t be here, without you. 🫶🏻

45 years of marriage…and still couldn’t sit closer to each-other, still serving, still dancing 💃, still apologizing, still giving grace upon grace, still praying, still challenging….

So thankful for this imperfectly perfect example in my life. 🙏🏼
