We lost our friend Chase this past weekend. He was a true friend, an unforgettable soul, and a meaningful part of this community. He meant so much to so many of us, and he will be missed.

After taking some time to sit with everything, we’ve decided to still move forward with Thursday’s DnB night, something Chase was meant to be a part of. We want to shift the intention of the night into a space for friends to come together, connect, and honor his life and the love he brought to all of us.

We will be dedicating his set to something special in his memory.

We understand that everyone is processing this in their own way, and we fully respect whatever feels right for you at this time.

Our hearts are with Chase, and his memory will live on in all of us.

One night when we were discussing metaphysics, the body and spirit. He questioned the finality of cremation and the pompousness of burial and told me that when he died to "just dump his body on a beach somewhere". I laughed out loud at the absurdity of that statement and he smiled and said, "thanks for laughing at my joke nobody else thought that one was funny". I did think it was funny but in my mind I pictured him as an old man upon death resting in the sand. He will grow old with us living on in our hearts but it would be better to see his body make the journey too. You will be missed Chase, thank you for empowering me with your spirit.
