We Got Us! Summit 2026 is almost here!

This May 29th and 30th at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, we will gather  for the second edition of We got Us! Summit with organizers, healers, community partners, and artists we deeply admire to collectively engage this year’s theme: Weathering the Storm through healing justice.

Art has always been essential to our movements. It helps us process, imagine, grieve, connect, and remember we are not alone.

This year we are honored to collaborate with local artists who are deeply committed to organizing our communities and who, through their everyday work and artistic practices, help shape futures centered in healing, collective care, and liberation. They will build altars representing each element: ori, earth, wind, fire, water and iron.

We invite you to bring something meaningful to add to the altars, such as flowers or pictures.

Loni Johnson — a Miami-born multidisciplinary visual artist, educator, mother, and activist whose work creates healing spaces for Black women through movement, ritual, and ancestral memory.

Ernisha Dorvilus — a multidisciplinary artist, curator, cultural organizer, and mother born from the sacred waters of Miami. Her work engages Haitian culture, ancestral reverence, ritual, and collective care through art and cultural stewardship.

Agua Dulce — a queer, neurodivergent transdisciplinary artist and organizer whose work bridges spirituality, climate consciousness, sound, installation, and collective healing.

Alexis Hyatt — psychotherapist, artist, and Iyanifa whose work engages ancestral knowledge, storytelling, embodied practice, and liberatory healing spaces centering people of color.

Tanayiz Bertrand — Afro-Caribbean dancer, Manbo, and mental health professional whose work preserves and celebrates culture through movement, fashion, storytelling, and spiritual practice.

Iyanifa Ruth Ifakemi Jeannoel is a Haitian American multi-disciplinary creative, Yoruba Priestess and Founder of Fanm Saj, a Black feminist organization based in Florida that practices healing justice, restorative circles, and community defense.
