First time going to a knitting/fiber meetup was a success! Shout out to @craftcafe.sf (@midsummer.knits ) for organizing such a fun hangout! It was great meeting new people and Instagram friends IRL!!🫶 (yes this is what summer in SF looks like lol)

I’m not the same person I was last Monday.

S — Stitch
Learning a new craft sharpens all your others. This week I picked up my rings from the silver clay jewelry class at @biskstudio in SF, led by the extraordinarily patient instructor Kani. You roll, shape, fire, and polish a ring from raw silver clay — and somehow it becomes that. I cannot stop staring at my own hand. Next class is already up if you’re in the Bay!
Have you ever made something by hand that surprised you with how real it turned out?

T — Taste
@earlytorisesf — my former Nob Hill neighborhood brunch spot, pre-pandemic. What started as a long-table community experiment has become one of the most comfortable spots in the city. Go on a weekday if you can; the energy is softer. Don’t leave without a donut bite.

I — Inspo
The @artfiberfrenzy stand at @fiberfrolicfestival felt like walking into a textile museum. Each skein a finished argument for why craft is art. I left with more than I budgeted for and zero regrets. Does that land for you — or does yarn feel more like tool than art?

T — Tittle
The Testament — finally in that dreaded wait for the next season. The show makes the dystopia feel logistically real, which is scarier than any horror. Watch it with a pillow to clutch and pause to absorb every moment.

C — Community
Frolic Festival + Knitters Plotting + craft date. This is what fiber arts looks like when it stops being a private hobby and becomes a public presence. More of this, always.

H — Haul
The Frolic Festival attacked my wallet, lovingly. Full breakdown from local artisans:

Another S.T.I.T.C.H week in the books 🧵

S — Stitch
This week I’ve been obsessed with my little grass coaster from @craft.club.co — making it at @sunsetcommons was the most meditative thing. I’m exploring different weaving textures and honestly, I can’t stop. Next up: pipe cleaners. Wish me luck.

T — Taste
I finally made it to @ummasf after wanting to go forever, and I can only recommend. We had Tteok-bokki, Bibimbap, Kimchi Fried Rice and a vegan Soondubu-jjigae that nearly stole the show.

I — Inspo
The Monet & Venice exhibition at @deyoungmuseum is one of the most special things I’ve seen in SF. The paintings haven’t been in the same room in over 100 years — and you can feel it. The way he captures light at different hours of the same scene, the colors he practically invented… it inspired something in me. Running until July — go 🏃🏻‍♀️

T — Tittle
I’ve watched The Devil Wears Prada 2 twice and I’ll probably watch it again. Every character arc lands. And the fashion? Slouchy silhouettes, draped fabrics, whimsy — I’m taking notes for my own wardrobe. The movie is better than the book, I said what I said

C — Community
A cozy week on the community front. First, a small planning session with knitter friends to build something for the community — more coming soon. Then I arrived fashionably late to the @craftcafe.sf event hosted by @midsummer.knits — so many familiar faces, new friendships, and great drinks from @thebuoysf . This is why I love SF

H — Haul
No shopping this week, but I want to spotlight my friend @mudfool — people keep asking about the fish stitch markers I got @bayareayarncrawl and the ocean-inspired yarn bowl that is honestly one of my most beautiful craft objects. Go check out her work 🐟

I’m still riding the high of the 2026 Bay Area Yarn Crawl! It was an incredible 10 days of warm, sunny weather, scenic drives, and of course AMAZING yarn shops and trunk shows.

Thank you to all the organizers, participating shops, and vendors supporting the crawl this year! I got to attend a few socials and finally met some fiber friends irl for the first time and shared our passion for the craft 🥰

If you’re a fiber artist and considering a visit to the Bay Area, I highly recommend making it out for the crawl next year! 🥳

What a wonderful Valentine’s Day. Started with a tour of @valleyoakwoolmill in Woodland with Marcail. There, I ran into a long time colleague and travel buddy @mandersmadethat and got a wonderful catch up at @ruhstallerbeer - my valentine @edith.galvagna came to town and we got tintype portraits with @silverponytintype at the @theparsonageannex - followed by dinner at @the_nash_bar and unpacking boxes from my dad’s house in the loft. ❤️
