It was a hot day for the Birds.
It was a hot day for the Homies.

Part II of our Birding 101 series collaboration titled “Learning to Listen” was another lovely stroll through an ecological reserve with down to earth homies, learning the art of listening and being patient.

We thank everyone who attended and exchanged energy with us while we meandered under the shade, before the sun came in blasting 🔫☀️

Thank you @short_and_tweet @tus_outside for sharing knowledge

Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this event possible. Especially getting all that water to the saddle. Adding/removing the markers. Thank you for all the love received at the saddle! My heart needed this adventure day! 🤗

Congratulations to everyone who showed up and push some limits! It was a hard hot day!

The Fools Traverse 🤘🏽😎

28 miles • 11 peaks • nearly 12,000 feet of elevation gain.

First off, huge thanks to the TRVRS Outdoors crew for putting this together. This was my second time tackling The Fools Traverse, and once again it delivered an unforgettable experience.

Big shoutout to @jd_miranda_07 and @fuskone. I ran into them after Sugarloaf Peak, and their company helped me tremendously during the push to Ontario Peak. Being around strong hikers helped me settle into my pace and keep moving forward.

After Ontario Peak, @warrenhikes caught up moving at lightning speed. I had to dig deep and challenge myself just to keep up. That extra push woke me up and gave me the motivation I needed to continue the rest of the journey solo.

One of my favorite parts of these long traverses is running into friends along the way and crossing paths with hikers going the opposite direction. Everyone encouraging each other to keep going when the miles and elevation start adding up.

I didn’t get to prepare as much as I wanted for this one, but thankfully the recent A Toda Madre adventures have basically been one big training block—Turtle’s Beak to Ontario, Iron to Baldy, and the Rockhound Traverse. Looking back, all those tough days paid off.

Proud of myself for this one. Another unforgettable day in the mountains. 🤘🏽🔥

FOUR YEARS! We celebrated with 80 of our closest hiking friends at none other than Cucamonga Peak.

What amazes us the most is that 80 people woke up very early today (as early as midnight) to come and celebrate with us. Some coming all the way from Bakersfield. WOW. We are honored to have such an amazing community who like us welcomes big challenges like today. Cucamonga Peak is not an easy hike whatsoever.

We are grateful and appreciative of everyone who showed up today and those who wished us well on this day. It’s been four years of many wonderful memories, hundreds of peaks summited, hundreds of miles trekked, hundreds of thousands of feet gained; and hundreds of hikers who’ve we’ve led. It’s been a wild and amazing ride.

Can’t wait for another year and celebrate our 5th year next year. This time we’ll make it on our original date of mid May 2027.

Thank you to all those in our community who donated gifts and gift cards. Everyone had a lot of fun today at the summit of Cucamonga Peak.

Cheers to another year of incredible adventures! Vaaaaamoooooosssss!!!!

Summiting Cucamonga Peak⛰️ Moments at ✅Peak #2 of 4. Hiking ECBO ✨ as part of our training for the @trvrsoutdoors Fools Traverse that’s 1 weeks out! ECBO is a multi-peak route that summits Eitwanda, Cucamonga, Bighorn, and Ontario Peak〽️. The 19ish mile route packs over 6,000 feet of elevation gain as it goes through valleys and over peaks.
