Discover fragments of Liverpool's history hidden in an artwork in one of the waterfront's smallest buildings... 🛖

Artist Caroline Jariwala has created a new mosaic – using some quite old materials – which has been installed in the recently restored Hartley Hut (opening to the public soon!).

Archaeologist, Elsa Price, explores the history of these found fragments of sugar moulds, pearlware and creamware which have been incorporated into the piece.

🔗 A woman wearing glasses, a blue headscarf, and an orange apron with a floral shirt is arranging a colorful mosaic on a table. The mosaic includes various shards of pottery in blue, brown, and white patterns. Behind her are shelves filled with pottery items and art materials. Text overlay reads: "Each shard of pottery embodies the flow of goods, from fine China, to sugar."
