Directed by Chriscenia Dias aka Bushu Talkies, this poignant Konkani short film takes us into the deeply personal and often unseen journey of a mother after childbirth.

Behind the smiles, sleepless nights and joy of welcoming a child lies a battle that many mothers silently face — postpartum depression.

Through an emotional and intimate story, the film explores the loneliness, exhaustion, emotional breakdowns and overwhelming expectations placed on a new mother. It is a journey of love, pain, vulnerability and, ultimately, the importance of understanding and support.

Because becoming a mother is not just about bringing a child into the world.

It is also about a woman being born into a completely new life.

This film is a reminder that postpartum depression is real, it is not a weakness, and no mother should have to suffer in silence.

HERITAGE FIRST GOA PRESENTS
FRIENDS OF FILM
OUR RIVERS • OUR STORIES

The state of Goa has an abundance of 11 major rivers and several hundred freshwater springs, tributaries, and minor water freshwater bodies. Its estuaries and mangrove ecosystems are also breeding grounds for fish and other marine organisms that provide the people of Goa and the lakhs of visitors that come to enjoy the unique cuisine of this state with food and livelihoods.
In the light of the current status of the river generally known as Mhadei, Mahadei, Mahadayi or the Mandovi, including pollution, diversion, increased salinity, marine life depletion, siltation, overburdened by transportation and others,
