Happy to share some pictures of “Some Things Last a Long Time”, an exhibition I curated at @manifeste.studio last June. Featuring works by @ethanass , @renoiterrible , @justinecappelle , @oya__yz , @ch.flamand , and myself. The exhibition was conceived as a journey through practices that share the use of language—incorporating pasted poems, subtitles, autobiographical anecdotes, protocols, and aphorisms. I really had fun organizing it and want to thank all the artists for their trust! Thanks to @sambouffandeau for the reading during the opening, and to @patrick_carpentier, as usual.

Two poems in Nmemotope Issue 009 from @bogbodiespress. so beautifully designed by Lilou and Réi

happy to have a home for "hell is a town in michigan" and "anza room, separate beds", and it made my heart sing to read them aloud in front of many friends in brussels. & the ultimate pleasure to publish a poem right alongside @laikaplanchenault :')

^^ a visual teaser for the fragrant work that will be presented at @ccinq_space *tomorrow*, in collaboration with @collectiblefair

(Rue de Ligne 2, 17:00~21:00)

The immaterial work ‘44.7’, commissioned by @patrick_carpentier , radically (!) leans into scent’s intangible, ephemeral quality ..

With scent, you can only talk about the effect it has on you ~ how it moves through the senses. ((although the more seasoned sniffers miiight also be able to make out some of the notes)

In that way it pushes us to speak from experience rather than description; it pushes us to take our most ‘subjective’ senses seriously. And over time I have found that what we call ‘subjective’ often turns out to be much more shared and universal than we assume.

x!
