Robyn Hood premiered on Sept. 27, 3023, created by @directorx It is an updated version of the legend starring @jessyeromeo , @nykmnykym @mansa.idrissa , @kseniadaniela , @jonathanmlangdon , @sydneykuhne , @kiraguloien . It was filmed in my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It is a lot better than online trolls made it out to be and is a shockingly faithful and inventive updating of the #RobinHood legend. Marian as a lawyer and Tuck as a computer hacker among the clever updates. #hamont #canadiantv #RobynHood @robynhoodtv deserves a DVD release.

With @tiff_net officially wrapped (love my #WhatchaWant family), I also made sure to see my @kungfulandmovie family at the festival. They’ve been so supportive throughout this entire process — even showing up to my screenings. It was great to finally meet members of the team in person after months of digital meetings between Toronto and Singapore.
I’m excited to show everyone what we’ve cooked up with Kungfuland. Thank you @ontariocreates for having us at your lovely event. I also ran into the great @oohelendang and @___russ.___ at Ontario Creates — a good reunion the day before our world premiere of Whatcha Want!

So glad these photos were taken BEFORE I became “super fun and charismatic” 🍷💃🏼

As always, TIFF was wonderful and chaotic. I got to hang out with some very cool people (some of whom are pictured above), eat, drink and call it work.

Thanks for the fun party @ontariocreates !!

Recap of day 4 at TIFF. lol 😂 I love trying to make one take voice overs 😅 No time for a retake, got mom whispering to me in the background.

So yesterday we had no red carpets but we had a wonderful day of networking and events. Sooo I missed putting in for red carpets yesterday (I missed Aaron Pierre 🫣) but we still attended a couple wonderful events and reconnected with amazing friends.

Singapore!
Our days here are winding down, and the cast of @kungfulandmovie just wanted to say thank you in advance for accommodating us in such a beautiful city.
(Even though we were in the studio most of the time 😅)

Somewhere between takes, you remember you’re a person.

Filming my first kung fu comedy has been some of the most demanding work I’ve done. So days like this one matter. A boat, a river, and the artists you share the grind with. Turns out connection is its own kind of rest.

Being this far from home and family isn’t easy. But this crew, and Singapore itself, have made the distance feel lighter. Grateful for all of it.

Yesterday’s session with our special guest @mansa.idrissa all the way from Toronto 🇨🇦! Thank you everyone for pulling up! We’re still out here bucking every Wednesday, 8pm! DM us if you wanna come down whether it’s to just watch or dance (even if you’ve never done krump/dance before!)

A new era of Open Concepts is upon us. We’ve been cooking. OC has always been a space for artists to take their artistry to new heights. If you know an artist who is ready for the stage tag them in the comments!
