Football is back! 🏈

Junior football teams from across Simcoe County hit the field for the Junior Football Jamboree at Maple Ridge Secondary School today. This was a pre-season opportunity to sharpen their skills, build teamwork, and get ready for the season ahead.

Turns out “a couple of years” = seven. We checked. Time flies when you’re playing football!

Thanks to all the student-athletes, coaches, and organizers who made it another great day on the field!

And she always be my baby ✨🍼🐶😀

My constant laughter, my comfort, my grounding weight in this life 🤍
No matter how big she gets, she’s home to me.✨❤️

What many people don’t realize is that the connection you build with your dog can grow so deep, so intense, it almost feels wild. 🙈✨🤯

Trust isn’t something that just happens 👉🏻 it’s built in moments, consistency, patience, and presence. When you truly invest in your dog, when you listen, guide, and engage with them, the relationship becomes something extraordinary.

That bond can last a lifetime.
But only if you’re willing to put in the time, the energy, and the heart.⌛️🌪️❤️✨

This is exactly what I teach at my dog training school: building real connection, engagement, and trust 👉🏻not just obedience.

Because a trained dog is great, but a connected dog is everything 🐾❤️🐕‍🦺

They all got that superpower! ✨🐕‍🦺🦸🏼‍♀️
👉🏻 Let’s set them up for success!

During the first fifteen weeks, a puppy’s brain is in a prime socialization window. 💯✨

Experiences during this time shape how the dog will respond for the rest of its life. Puppies are more open, curious, and resilient, meaning they’re less likely to develop fear if they’re gently exposed to new things. 🫶🏻✨🐕‍🦺

👉🏻What sounds, environments, and objects are normal eg. The vacuum
👉🏻 How to regulate excitement and frustration
👉🏻 What behaviors get rewarded and repeated

Plus, start engaging with your dog to build that connection and trust early on. ❤️ Start with easy commands and tricks like sit, look at me, down, leave it, touch.

If you like guidance to train your puppy, connect with us for 1:1 puppy training classes. ✨🐕‍🦺🫶🏻 Online or in person!

From hallway to runway📸✨

Students at Maple Ridge Secondary School strutted down the runway to raise money for the Black Student Alliance.

The work behind the scenes, the main-character energy, and the creativity everywhere made this a must-watch event!

More than just a hockey tournament ✨

This week, the SCDSB hosted the Kempenfelt Cup, an annual hockey tournament that honours the legacy of SCDSB teacher and coach Martin Carl. Boys’ and girls’ hockey teams battled on the ice and fans brought their spirit in the stands to see who would bring home bragging rights this year.

Eastview SS and Nottawasaga Pines SS were the champions on the ice, but the big winners were the local charities the event supported, with over $21,500 raised!

The rain came down but the energy soared.

Fans filled the sidelines as the Maple Ridge Ravens and Barrie North Vikings left everything on the field last Friday. It was a gritty, hard-fought defensive battle, with the Ravens taking home the Sr Boys SCAA championship. Thanks to everyone who came out to support their school communities at the newly sponsored field @maple_ridge_ss, honouring late SCDSB teacher, coach, and local legend Martin Carl.

The Ravens now move on to the GBSSA finals this Thursday, Nov. 13 at Georgian College.
