We’re at the San Clemente Village Art Faire TODAY! 🤍 Come find Ryan’s Soap Company on Avenida Del Mar from 10am–4pm and stock up on your favorites — plus get a first look at some of our fall goodies. 🍂

One of my favorite parts of these events is getting to shop and support the other amazing small businesses, too. I found this UCSB necklace from @maptometry and obviously had to have it. 💙💛 My son starts his freshman year at UCSB in just a couple of weeks, so this one is extra special.

📍 242 Avenida Del Mar
⏰ Today • 10am–4pm

Come stroll Del Mar, shop small and stop by to see us!

Found this vintage South Bay map from @maptometry while I was in San Clemente earlier this month!

The map dates back to the 1950s and was originally produced by Chevron, then preserved inside a vintage optical lens from the 1920s.

The 1950s was a period of rapid postwar growth in the South Bay, before many of today’s freeways and neighborhoods were fully developed. Chevron made these maps in part to encourage people to drive (they definitely succeeded with the South Bay!)

For similar maps of other cities and regions across SoCal, check out @maptometry.

Picked up another @maptometry piece today at the San Luis Obispo Art in the Park event this Memorial Day weekend. These are maps cut down and fit in old optometry eye pieces! A unique gift for yourself or others.

Women making moves 🤍✨

I’m starting a new series highlighting women-owned businesses across Orange County that are doing the coolest, most thoughtful things and you need to know about them.

First up: @maptometry 🌎👀

We stumbled upon this gem at a makers mart in San Clemente last weekend and I genuinely wanted to buy something for every single person in my life.

They create custom map pieces of your hometown, favorite city, or anywhere that means something to you. Think vintage maps (all the way back to the 1930s), black & white or color, turned into the most meaningful keepsakes.

Ornaments, gifts, little pieces of nostalgia you didn’t know you needed until you see them. And honestly… such a good deal for how personal they are.

If you have a place that holds memories for you or someone you love, this is it.

Save this for your next gift idea and go support a woman making moves 💫

I just got such a wonderful custom piece in the mail. The owner of @maptometry worked so hard to create this very special piece for me that includes Trinidad, McKinleyville, Arcata, and Ferndale, California. All places that are special to me because of my dad, and have become more special to me because of traveling I have done with a great friend @heatherstewart8559. I had to make sure Ferndale was included because of @thegingerbreadmansion, and Trinidad because that’s where my dad’s memorial is. McKinleyville was important because it’s where my dad lived. To get all of those cities, and get them all to fit into that little lens was a tall order, and she did it ❤️❤️. Thank you! Now I can wear it as a necklace or hang it as an ornament. One of the most special things I now own. ❤️❤️

This was a gift from a client Saturday and there’s been so much going on I haven’t even absorbed the goodness. An antique optometry lens fitted with a vintage map of the Central Coast, by @maptometry. Elizabeth knows my adoption story and was adopted herself, she said she loved that it had my place of birth, SLO, and the town that has been my choice to fly in, Atascadero. This gift was so thoughtful and meaningful, @britapina, you touch my heart every time we talk. And I didn’t even get a photo of her in her beautiful new glasses.

Also please note I’m mixing metals @tess.jewelry. ✨ love my lucky star charm from her so much!
