Summer of celebrations in the West house continues with Mar! Happy t***** f**** 🤪 birthday to the wife, mom, and cheerleader we couldn’t be more blessed to do life with. Thank you for always reminding us to not take life so seriously and to love big. Hoping you feel celebrated today and everyday. We love you so much!

June was a month full of celebrations!

First came Father’s Day with sweet Joie James. Catching up on lots of daddy daughter time lately. Air hockey and playing in the rain until our feet were “raisiny like crazy”

Next was residency graduation, an event that hasn’t hit me quite yet. I’ve spent more hours at Blank Children’s Hospital than I can count the past 3 years and have been challenged in ways I never thought possible. I have witnessed horrible loss and incredible perseverance from tiny humans fighting big battles. An experience I will never take for granted.

Then came my 30th birthday as well as saying goodbye to my 20s and all this past decade blessed me with. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better surprise party with my closest people which included Mar pulling off an epic surprise getting Amazon Brad back home to celebrate.

It’s hard to celebrate any of these milestones, events, or accomplishments without giving credit where credit is truly due. To my family and our village, I couldn’t have done any of this without you. Your love and support mean more than words will ever be able to express.

Lastly to Mara, my amazing wife. You’ve sacrificed more than people will ever understand to endure this crazy journey that is medicine, yet you always find ways to make me feel loved and celebrated all while being an incredible mama to JJ. Thank you, love.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mar! When we got married I was so excited to see the mom you would someday be. Joie is one lucky peanut because you are her mama. We hear so often nowadays how Joie is becoming so much like you, and I couldn’t be happier that’s the case. To have a wife raising our daughter to be bold, loving, confident, kind, and joyful is such a blessing. Love you 🤍

This week we celebrated our sweet peanut turning THREE! We can’t believe how lucky we are to be her parents and are so thankful for our beautiful, kind, and goofy girl. From endless dance parties to swim suits in December and Incredibles 2 on repeat our life is filled with joy because of her. Or as Joie famously puts it “WELCOME TO MY SHOW” and we are so blessed to have a front row seat. Happy Birthday JJ, we love you always 🤍
