POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🎉One year ago we released the very first Connecting People compilation.

What started as an idea to bring together artists from different corners of the scene has grown into a platform for new music and new connections. One year later, we’ve already released our second compilation.

We’re grateful to everyone who contributed, supported the project and listened along.

If you missed where it all started, go check out Connecting People Vol. 1. on spotify, soundcloud or bandcamp.

Returning for a second appearance on a Device compilation, MarchSQR (@marchsqr) brings ‘Houndz’ — a track that builds tension through tribal percussion before diving headfirst into grime-inspired basslines and heavily modulated synth work.

Featured on Connecting People Vol. 2 — a 12-track compilation bringing together a diverse group of artists and producers, curated by @device.culture.

The compilation is out now on Spotify, SoundCloud and Bandcamp. Limited cassette tapes are still available via Bandcamp or by sending us a DM.

Last Friday we celebrated our newest release with a steaming night at Café Bosch. Captured by @daniel.reijnen 📸

Big love to all DJs — the random b2bs turned out better than we could have imagined. Huge thanks to Delt∆tune for the live set, and to everyone who showed up and filled the dancefloor.

Special thanks to Diva Superdoei (@poederdoos_queer_club_night), the best MC we could have wished for that night. And of course, the star of the night: Martijn (@luxaflexx.x.x.x.x.x ), for the insane light show — he truly went all out this time.

Connecting People Vol. 2 is out now — go listen, share, support, and grab a copy.

Round 01
No. 38 MarchSQR b2b No. 28 VELD

To shape the timetable for the night, we handed things over to fate and pulled out the bingo wheel!

For the opening round, the numbers landed on @marchsqr and @veld.dj , who will be going back to back.

Expect tribal percussion and rolling garage rhythms to slowly pull us into the night.

In a bit more than a weeks time Weva Collective will be taking over Café Bosch! For our very first edition we've invited MarchSQR and PHINNY to join us behind the decks on Friday 10th of April.

Stiinna (23.00-00.15) will kick the night off with percussion filled, hip twisting music that'll get you moving. He's followed by MarchSQR (00.15-01.30) who'll combine this percussionist flavor with his grime and bass influences to create a hypnotic, driving flow. Next up, PHINNY (01.30-02.45) comes through with bass heavy grooves rooted in UK sounds and breakbeats to bring all the energy. Lastly, Jaya (02.45-04.00) will close the night off with a highly-danceable set by infusing global sounds with their South Asian roots.

Weva Collective Presents: Stiinna

Stiinna (Jelle van der Steen) is a DJ and producer from Rotterdam. In his eclectic sets, consisting of sounds such as Bubbling, Kuduro, iGqom, UK Bass, and Techno, he mixes sounds and cultures from all over the world to bring the dance floor together. He enjoys creating unique blends by combining deep bass and heavy percussions to create an energy carrying ambience, and occasionally punching through this ambience with sweat inducing edits and bangers.

Weva Collective Presents: MarchSQR

Hailing from Weert but now based in Nijmegen, MarchSQR has been DJ’ing and producing for over five years. Getting into underground electronic music through grime, he draws influences from across the bass spectrum, from dubstep and dub techno to breakbeat and UK funky. Always looking for the sweet spot between the club and more heady sounds, his sets blend heavy percussion, deep bass, and dubby atmospheres into a relentless, immersive flow.

He has played at Breek, Jangala, Device, and Fissatron3000, and delivered multiple radio sets for Open Source Radio, Maxi Radio and RaRa Radio. Alongside DJ work, he is increasingly focused on production, with his debut track MBblues released on Device’s Connecting People Vol. 1 compilation; the first step toward bringing more of his own material into the club context.

Weva Collective Presents: PHINNY

PHINNY (Vincent Hammingh) is a DJ, producer and curator at Device. His sound is rhythm-driven and genre-fluid, rooted in UK-influenced club music. In his sets, he blends UKG, percussive club tunes, breakbeats and bass-heavy electronic grooves.
As co-founder of Device, he curates club nights focused on forward-thinking sounds and releases music under the same roof as the platform continues to grow as a label. The first release was his own track GUNSHOT. In 2025, Device expanded its output with Connecting People Vol. 1—a compilation created with eight producers from their circle.
Beyond music, Vincent leaves his mark through graphic design, shaping the visual identity of music and the cultural scene.

🎶 Rauwe energie. Groovy sounds. Ongekend.

🖤 10 april - Be there of wees een vierkantje.
