Was spending $8,000 on a stranger’s left quad a good business decision? 👇 2.8 MILLION views, a 238% spike in website traffic, and traffic is still up 31% from where we started. We’d been growing Sam’s List steadily for a while, but nothing was really shaking things up. This ridiculous experiment put a fire under my booty and got me thinking way bigger about what we’re building. It even helped spark the idea for our new Sam’s List community that i am sooooo excited about!! I think I needed that little reminder that we can do a lot more than what we’ve been doing. I paid $20,000 to buy someone’s butt 👀🍑 Specifically, Marc Lou’s. For those unfamiliar with @marclouvion (or his butt)... He’s a software Founder who’s built 36 startups. Made $3M, bootstrapped and solo. 10 days ago he competed in his first HYROX race. Apparently earning $3M from software wasn’t enough, because he decided to turn his body into a business too. He built a website where companies could bid to put their logos on different body parts for the race. We bought the butt. $20,000 to put Stanley on the back of his shorts. The guy ended up making $112,000 from sponsorships. Then finished first in his age group. Honestly, I love seeing people do stuff like this. Have a ridiculous idea, build it, and get the whole internet invested in what happens next. That’s the power of the internet and the power of the Stan mission.
