I earned my degree back in the fall, but Thursday I finally walked the stage. And this walk wasn’t just a formality, it was a testimony. A testimony to every weekend I stayed in, every outing I missed, every night I pushed through exhaustion and still showed up.

This wasn’t just about me, it was about the calling on my life. Because in the middle of that journey, I said yes to a breakfast I almost didn’t attend… and ended up meeting a president who saw the vision. That one divine moment has now become a bridge, and today some of my seniors are graduating with full scholarships, both merit and athletic.

I walked the stage today, but I’ve been walking in purpose all along. Grace carried me. Faith led me. And love rooted me. This moment was sacred, and it reminded me that sometimes the delay is where the alignment lives.

I’m proud of the degree, but I’m even more proud of the woman I’ve become in the process.✨🎓

This journey wasn’t just about earning a degree, it was about remembering who I am.

Every photo tells a story, of sacrifice, of becoming, of choosing myself over and over again. There were moments no one saw, battles I kept private, and prayers I whispered in silence.

But through it all, grace carried me, purpose pushed me, and faith lit the path.

This walk is for every version of me that kept going, and for the woman I’ve become who knows her worth and walks in her light.

Our Monroe Univeristy Entertainment Media student, Shavoy Alcock received his Telly award this week for our documentary short, TYRONE! This accomplishment is an extraordinary milestone, marking the univeristy’s entry into creative programs. Some journeys stay with you forever, and hearing that a safari became someone's "trip of a lifetime" never gets old 🤩

We were especially delighted to receive these kind words from Marc and Helen, following the hosted South African safari we co-hosted alongside our wonderful partner @sabierivercrossings.
