It’s time to VOTE EARLY!!! 🗳️✊⭐️

The Early Vote - by The Peace Poets (@thepeacepoets)

Most Americans want every vote to count, but as we approach election day, we know that those in power will do anything to maintain their power - including trying to prevent us from voting.

We don’t know exactly what this will look like on election day. But we do know the regime has already been deploying ICE in competitive districts to try to control the outcome of our elections and seize more power.

This is voter intimidation, plain and simple. Federal law is clear: Trying to make voters fearful to vote is illegal, whether it comes from law enforcement or private citizens.

That’s why communities all over are planning to vote early together and make this the biggest early vote turnout EVER. The earlier we vote, the harder it is for them to stop us. And when we vote early, we are freed up on election day to volunteer to make sure every eligible voter has a chance to vote.

Join in on these Early Vote events:
🗳️ Oct 17: No Kings: Vote Early - www.nokings.org (https://www.nokings.org/)
🗳️ Oct 20: Thank a Local Election Official Day of Action - www.electionheroday.org (https://www.electionheroday.org/)
🗳️ Oct 24: Vote Early Day - www.voteearlyday.org (https://www.voteearlyday.org/)

Make sure everyone knows about the plan to vote early together:
1️⃣ Make your plan to vote early with your loved ones! Check your registration and find your polling place at: https://www.andwevote.org/

2️⃣ Make a video of yourself & your crew singing “The Early Vote” by the Peace Poets and post it on social media: tinyurl.com/SRalbumcampaign

Sometimes a backstage hang turns into a moment. I knew my early obsession with #rihanna was rooted in something bigger than the club, I promise! As @devyndilts puts it, “Umbrella is a protest song to me! That’s what Ri-Ri meant!” 😝😭🤟🏼Agree 100%. Look at her bringing people together in song, y’all. Can’t argue with that. #musicmatters and what a gift to meet these folks at #joespub last night for an evening of #protestmusic hosted by @jaimelozano and @nancycheser. #youcanstandundermyumbrella

(And shout out to my personal MD @parkchisolm for providing me with the major 3 chord in the bridge….that one snuck up on me…🧐)
