Also Evian water has been tested to be cleaner than most, so buy that once through security 💧 My recent trip to Japan wasn’t exactly a vacation, but more of a research and soul expansion journey🪶When I first arrived some of my past traumas, and anxieties flared up and I had to really fight the urge to run away. Luckily this is where all the practices we do on a daily basis came in to assist. I sat with my fears, and realized the idea of just ‘being’ and not ‘doing’ is always a challenge for me. As part of this time of solo travel & deep introspection I was also keenly aware of the tangible aspects of travel, and the rituals, products and comforts I bring with me when I am in motion. 🪭

I’ve been a doula for 17 years and one thing I’ve learned is that pregnancy can be surprisingly isolating. There is so much information coming at you but very few places to slow down, ask questions, understand your options, and feel genuinely supported along the way.

I’ve also experienced this firsthand. I’ve given birth to six babies, including two sets of twins, and no two of my pregnancies were the same. Each brought its own questions, challenges, surprises, and lessons.

We’re living in a time when information is everywhere, but wisdom and community can be hard to find.

Pregnancy is a transformative time. You’re growing a baby and a new version of yourself. There are decisions to make, relationships that shift, fears that surface, and questions that keep you up at night.

We created The Chrysalis Community Pregnancy Support Group @carriagehousebirth because we wanted a place where pregnant people could come as they are.

We’ll talk about all the practical stuff like tests, care providers, birth preferences, labor, postpartum recovery but we’ll also talk about the emotional reality of pregnancy and the transition into parenthood.

Pregnancy was never meant to happen in isolation. We need places where we can be in community and center our humanity.

If you’re pregnant and looking for community, I’d love to have you join us.

Motherhood contains multitudes 。・゜・

If there’s one thing i’m sure of - it’s that motherhood is always shapeshifting. It cycles through a myriad of shapes and forms:: love, bliss, fear, grief - endless forms, endless cycles. Thank you to every mother i’ve ever witnessed before embarking on this journey myself. I’ve learned from you, my heart has been touched by yours. Mamas without their babies, mamas struggling, mamas still longing to conceive - i’m thinking of you today and every day too. A life in constant reflection. There’s no best way to mother.

Whew, it has been a week! How is everyone doing out there?

Overwhelming waves of deep gratitude have been coming in for me the past few days, as I find myself in what feels like new territory. A new vista that is available now because of the work put in climbing the mountain the past few years, and being on this path now almost 25yrs- the path of the yogi, the artist, the healer, the seer, the teacher, the curious student who wants to know the layers of this and other realities.

Woo! And there has been dirt and sweat, and injury and grief and victory.

But grateful for the whole of it all, and now to really be able to teach, hold space, guide, bring healing from that experience.

“Can you speak to those that
have never done Archery before?

I have so many responses to this question, yet this was the first natural response that arose.

Archery can be incredibly grounding, self revealing, enjoyable, invigorating, empowering, and effective as a meditation practice and somatic experience.

Archery is mystical and extremely practical.
Archery can be an amazing way to unwind tension, gain perspective, get to know one’s own mind & energy.

You don’t need to come to a workshop or intensive to “become an archer”, some come to pursue it as a practice, while others utilize it as an experience to awaken focus, self-awareness & deepen embodiment.

You might find you need more breaks & rest periods between shooting, or you might become so absorbed that time falls away. Either way there is no right way.

In general, there is no “right” way to rock Archery.
With the exception of don’t hurt yourself, others, or the equipment.

When it comes to hunting, there are ethical, responsible, and honorable ways to utilize Archery.

I say follow your instinct if you are called to join.
There are so many experiences people end up having on the range, or reasons that they attend.
Ultimately, it’s because they were drawn and acted upon the call.

These are great questions that I’m going to continue to ponder. Thank you @simplysequoiah
