Happy Father's Day to me, the woman who has been both mother and father to my wonderful daughter and only child, Maria, raising her by myself. We have always celebrated Mother's Day and Father's Day together.
The "sad" Maria is representative of "I Want A Daddy, Mummy" which is part of the lyrics of a bluesy little song I wrote maybe 30+ years ago while she and I were living in Santa Monica. Absent her biological father, she also never had a stepfather or any father figure in her life or around our residences, wherever we were. The song is in my blog at https://mschefinseattle.com/2016/06/19/daddy-blues-not-what-one-might-expect/

My daughter @mariakv86 created this artwork of me playing piano at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica and singing songs which I wrote. Beautiful Christmas gift.

Wow yesterday was not anything like i expected. Reaffirmed my friendship with Kevyn And a dear friend i lost over a decade ago due to my own actions when i was in a drunken blackout showed up to allow me to start making amends and to allow us to rekindle that friendship. That was not in anyway something I had on my birthday BINGO card and it made last night so much more significant to me. Thank you to everyone who came out and I am sorry i wasn't more attentive but IYKYK.

After a super busy last week, I’m finally posting abt February (plus the first two days of March). It was definitely a vibe, though now I only have a month and a half of my mission left and that’s crazy💀

Aren't they sweet? There was a class on growing microgreens put on by the Garden Hotline in Seattle. I've got pea and radish greens for sandwiches and catnip for King Leo.

Some photos of my daughter, assembled in Salt Lake City while waiting for our flight home to Seattle after my week of birthday joy here. So grateful for her and for our time together.

Maria said okay, she'd stand in front of fountain in downtown Salt Lake City then I sneaked a couple more shots before she gave me "the look."
