This bath alcove was designed to make the most of its beautiful bay window. Natural light fills the space, while the carefully vein-matched stone accentuates the shape and architecture of the alcove. A little wander through our Midwest Sanctuary starting with this beautiful video by @daveburk 🌿 I love how the garden stays with you as you move through this home. Sometimes it opens into a full view; sometimes it’s just a glimpse through a doorway or the soft green of trees behind fluted glass. We designed the house around these connections, letting nature bring softness to the architecture. A soaring picture window anchors this Winnetka living room, where designer Sarah Dippold balanced the warm wood tone with crisp paneling and natural textures to create a luminous retreat. A little walk through Shoreline Reflections. I wanted to share how these rooms connect, especially the dining room—a room of its own, with a generous table for big family gatherings, that still feels intimate and connected to the great room. I love how everyone can gather around the table and feel tucked into this space, while still being part of everything around them and a view of the lake. The buffet backdrop is a fabulous stone from @calia.stone. We found this stone before the design was even complete and decided to make it part of the "art" in the home. As summer gives way to fall, there’s a quiet shift along Lake Michigan. The outdoor spaces that held family and friends all summer become still, and the warmth moves inside. I love seeing Shoreline Reflections this way—the landscape settling into darkness while the home begins to glow from within. A different season, and a different way of experiencing the same place. A little reminder for all designers and landscapers interested in being part of the 2027 Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens: applications are due October 1! We’ve received an incredible amount of interest this year, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has applied. Due to the high volume of applications, please allow our team some time to carefully review each submission. We will respond to all applicants. While designer and landscaper applications are coming to a close very soon, there are still plenty of ways to be part of the 2027 Showhouse. Sponsorship opportunities are still available! Be sure to submit your application by October 1, or reach out to learn more about becoming a 2027 Showhouse sponsor. #lfshowhouse #lakeforestillinois #chicagononprofits #chicagonorthshore #luxurylivingspaces

Some of our favorite details in this beach house come down to contrast. There’s a real tactile quality throughout, with rustic and refined, antique and new, all speaking to one another. It’s something the entire design team thought about at every scale, and the craftsmanship becomes even more apparent the closer you look. A room can look completely different without anyone calling a contractor. Sometimes the best refresh is simply paying attention to what’s already there and switching up the pieces that are easiest to change. For this Winnetka home, new pillows, textiles, art and accessories gave familiar rooms a different energy without undoing what already worked. A little more contrast here, a different pattern there, a few objects moved around or swapped out entirely. We’re big believers in knowing when a room needs rethinking and when it just needs a very good edit. The latter can go a surprisingly long way. A very big thank you to everyone who organized and joined us for an incredible Third Quarter Awards celebration! It was a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate the ECL and @GalbraithGroundsManagement crews within the Mariani Premier Group family. We are incredibly grateful for the hard work, dedication, and commitment our teams bring every day. It was also wonderful to celebrate the teams and recognize the people whose dedication continues to drive both companies forward. A special thank you to our Mariani Premier Group partners who made the trip to Atlanta to join us and share in the festivities.
