My imposter syndrome told me to keep this moment to myself. To downplay it. To act like it wasn’t a big deal. To convince myself that maybe I didn’t really deserve to be in that room. But I’m celebrating this one 🥹

The @raiders FAMILIA invited me and @erickaavilesconsulting from @latinasinpowernevada to speak at their Hispanic Heritage Celebration, alongside with @mariasilvalv to celebrate successful Latina business owners. And somehow they thought I should be there 🥲🥲🥲

As a first-generation immigrant, this means so much more to me than bragging rights. It’s one of those accomplishments I know I’ll carry in my heart forever.

Because the little girl who once felt like she didn't belong here or there, the little girl who could have never imagined being recognized in a room like this, somehow made it here 😢❤️

This one is for all of us dreamers and doers. For everyone who started with nothing but a dream and kept going anyway 🫶🏼🇲🇽 all glory to God 🙏🏼

At Latinas in Power, we celebrate the incredible women who bring their culture, strength, leadership, and unique stories into every space they enter. Our members remind us that our Latinidad is part of how we lead, connect, create opportunities, and celebrate one another’s success.

🚫 No U-turns in school zones
🚫 Don't double park or block crosswalks
🚦 Obey posted speed limits & watch for flashing school zone lights

Felicidades to everyone who worked on preserving and sharing the work of Spanish speaking media in Las Vegas! I went today to Winchester Dondero Cultural Center where the exhibit “Documentando el Camino: La Historia de Los Medios Hispanos en Las Vegas” is being displayed with support from Commissioner Tick Segerblom. It was so nice to see many of the faces I grew up seeing as a kid in Vegas but also those media hands that reached out to share our stories when I was a young student fighting for Dreamers in Nevada. They helped me with their guidance, air time and especially the care they put into keeping us safe at a very dangerous time.

The display will be closing on Saturday, July 11th so hurry over and support our history!

We even had some Alejandro Sanz love in there 💜 one of our favorite Dream Big Nevada supporters!

Also, the Centro de Mesa Emmy💐 on display didn’t fit in my purse 😞 …
