With all the vintage floral fabric, it feels like this quilt came straight out of the garden.

Where are my people at?

I’ve really been loving exploring the intersection of my special interests in soccer and crafting lately.

In this video I am putting together the pieces of a soccer ball appliqué using heat n bond and my trusty iron.

This appliqué was added to an old hoodie of mine that had a few stains that needed to be covered up. Rather than the hoodie going to landfill, now it has a new life.

Break gender norms. Don’t change for anyone. 👗🏈

I wore the football uniform, Bad Bunny wore the dress.

Can’t wait to see him take the stage today!

It’s been 6+ months in the making, but we finally did it!

This past weekend we took some time to decorate our living room even more with a gallery wall! More close ups of the art to come!

Let’s be honest here… This faux rock wall was THE WORST project for the entire @wildazaleahouse .

I saw a really cute Pinterest diy blog that made this wall look great, but I ran into a ton of issues including cracked panels, the dye coming off of the rocks, and using too much spackle. On day 3 of the install after countless hours of work, my husband came in and told me it looked like not such a nice word 🤣😂.

I sulked for a while but then had an idea and was able to fix it with a custom stain that I made where I had to go back over every single little faux rock.

I question how much I like the results now. Sometimes I like it and other times not. We have gotten some compliments from guests too, so that must be a good sign! Maybe one day we will rip it out and put something else in.

Thanks to @blackvalleycreative for capturing the amazing after photo!

Ever thought about using unconventional materials for your home decor? 🧶✨

I decided to take on a unique DIY project and turned chicken wire and yarn into an affordable and beautiful cross-stitch piece that now hangs above the bed in the primary bedroom at the Wild Azalea House. It adds such a personal touch and really brings the room to life!

Check out how far our primary bedroom has come!

The first photo is the ‘staged’ bedroom, and the second is after we decorated it for guests.

We used @stikwooddesign to construct the wood wall!

@dogsndiy created the large scale cross stitch above the king bed by hand!

BEHIND THE SCENES:

Taking some time today to reflect on all the fun work that I was able to do to get the Wild Azalea House guest ready.

I am so grateful for getting the opportunity to be in such a flow state last summer completing all of these creative diy home projects.

Managing our vacation home rental is fun and all, but please take me back to the time where I could hang out in a house by myself and do what I do best creatively.
