Our academy stats will show 3 gold and 4 silver medals for the 2026 Kids No Gi Pans Championship. What the stats won’t tell you, are the many hours of training these kids put into their craft🙏🏿 They worked so hard for today. So many ups and downs over the last 6 months, yet they stayed the course, and locked in deeper on what they wanted to achieve. Their level of Jiu Jitsu is truly outstanding. I’m so proud of them all.

Huge THANK YOU to the families near and far!! It is because of your support that days like today are even possible🙏🏿 The next chapter is going to be exciting🥋💙

every gym needs a Marilyn.

@marilynbjj was one of the first people who encouraged me to start my channel. before i had ever posted a video, she saw something in what i wanted to do and encouraged me to go for it. and as i’ve gotten to know her, i’ve realized that’s just who she is.

she sees the good in people, believes in them, and goes out of her way to make sure they know it. whether it’s the kids who absolutely adore her, her teammates, or someone like me just trying something new.

and i think that’s what makes her and Professor Kola so alike. they both have a gift for seeing people, recognizing their potential, and bringing out the best in those around them.

there’s something really special about people who spend so much of their time lifting others up without ever asking for recognition themselves.

i’m grateful to know them both, and even more grateful to have been at @kolaajosejiujitsu to celebrate Marilyn receiving her purple belt.

congratulations, Marilyn. thank you for believing in me, and for being the kind of person who makes everyone around you a little better.

and to all the Marilyns out there, i hope you know how much you matter.
